Just about anything is possible through Python Scripting in Maxwell -- pyMaxwell is probably one of my favorite new Maxwell features in quite some time (now if I was only better at scripting ) Best, Jason.

Importing the scene to Maxwell Studio does give better results with the built in semi ortho cameras.

It could be extreme for a much more complex shape but SU should be able to handle that geometry on a relatively small model.

Seeing the result would help understand.

I have made a few tests where I gradually use the 'outer shell' command to combine chunks of cubes, it works better but the weird 'artifacts' are much higher this way (see new attachment) and I don't think it's a good way to do it :-S [image: AbWL_outhershell2.jpg]

d.instances[0].definition.name This line makes little sense. The definition uses an instance of itself to get its definition... It's equal to d.name. And d.name will avoid the error because Group doesn't have .definition.

Brodie, a dae file is a simple text file and cannot contain the image textures (only colour references). You must have overlooked something. Generally the dae file is outside the material folder though (but probably this would depend on the exporter itself).
