Thanks Dylan.
No, I don't have profile builder. I just used the good old follow me tool. Profile builder would be very nice to have though.
Thanks Dylan.

That texture has worked quite well, Eric. Thanks for sharing!
Oh thanks Eric, you snuck in there while I was replying to Pete. I'll give that texture a go.
Hey Pete, Yeah I get what your saying. However I was thinking of it being a brand new fireplace as opposed to an old one so the surface would be pretty clean and uniform. Here's the image that I modelled from to give you an idea what I'm after.
I'd been looking around for a decent Victorian fireplace but couldn't find one so decided to give making one a go. I'm happy with the modelling of it but can't find a decent black cast iron texture to use. Its a difficult one as it doesn't really have a lot of texture to it but neither is it completely flat looking. Anyone have any ideas of how to make it look more like cast iron?
It was rendered with iRender with edge lines set to 1 pixel.
Okay guys, here's a tricky one for you. I have a street scene where my road turns a corner and I have an image of a road which I'm using as the texture. Now my texture only shows the road going in a straight line, is there any way I can tweak the texture so that it follows the path of the road and pavement?
Thanks for that hint Kwist. I've downloaded Xnview and it does the trick, tho as you say, being able to do it in the native explorer would definitly have been better.
Grr.. I'm still no nearer to solving this problem. Anyone have any other ideas?
Still nothing from Google on giving us back the Back button?
Come on Google, please, it can't be that difficult to do and it would make things so much easier for us all.
Thanks Rich.
Sadly I can't afford to buy the programme at the moment as I've been out of work for quite some time but hopefully at some point in the future I'll have the funds to make a purchase.
No, I didn't use the treemaker. All the trees I already had.
Yeah, the colours came out really nicely.
This was the entry I did for the irender competition recently. I'd never used the programme before was really quite pleased with it. Very easy to use.
This ruby is exactly what I was after.
Many thanks Tig
Thanks guys. 60deg seems to be looking good for what I want.
Yes welcome sanzoo.
Good image. The roof texture is tiling a bit but I really like the grass at the bottom.
What would be the ideal field of view for internals? When I model I usually have my FOV at 35deg but when you get up close you don't see an awful lot. Is 60deg a bit more like it?
I'd say houseplants. Its very hard finding really good 3D houseplants. Pete has a few in his plants package which I've yet to buy, (I'm unemployed, on benefits, and food has to come first ) but as soon as I'm working again I'll be there with my credit card!
Do I have to have all my components in the original SU folder, ie, in the programme files? At the moment all my components are in a folder in My Documents for ease of access.

I fixed it by hitting the SU installer and clicking the "repair" option instead of the "install" or "remove" option. It will then check to see if there's anything out of the ordinary (like faulty preview information) and fix it.
I found where the installer was, ran it, hit repair but it didn't make any difference
Is there anything else I can try? Is it because I've got SU 6 & 7 installed?
Where would I find the SU installer?
