Sorry, I'm keep forgetting your version of SketchUp predates Noah !
That's very funny (Joe Wood's on SU2015) considering Pilou insists people downsave files to SU6 for them to get help...

Yeah I have 8 gigs ram, I don't know why they installed the 32 bit win 10. All my programs seem to work fine esp SUp. I'd take it back and have them redo it with the 64 bit but need my computer these days, can't wait a week to get it back.
So is that why exports are so slow Juju?
that could very likely be yes, even more so depending on how many apps / tasks the OS has running simultaneously
good thing you're still running SU2015 as from SU2017 it was 64-bit only IIRC
I've been using Irfan view for 10+ years now I think. Fast, lightweight and it can do some basic stuff so you wont have to fire up Gimp (gamma, scaling, change file formats, etc). Don't forget to install the additional plugins for support for additional file formats.
edit: spelling
That View> large icons fix didn't stick, so I asked on the MS support forum
The tutorial below can help show you how to set a default folder template for all folders, change the layout to large icons for how you want, and then apply to all folders.

Thanks Dtr but I need a T&G tex without the slight gaps between the boards, no problem though I was able to find one that looks OK on that SUp textures site.
