I run SU on an ageing but fairly hi-spec gaming machine. I've got the anti-aliasing set to 0. I tried it on 4 and can see absolutely no difference, so I changed it back again...the higher it is, the more work your graphics card will have to do. I'd choose fast feedback over higher multi-sampling, as your system will run faster, especially on larger models. I think SU checks whether you can run higher sampling and fast feedback together on start-up. If your card is not up to the job, it will grey it out.

Probably not noticeably better on small models but if you increase visual enhancements you would notice it.

So if you decided to use a style that had quite nice bitmap based strokes and added shadows. Or bumped up your OpenGL settings to ludicrous mode. Your integrated GPU would definitely under perform compared to a dedicated GPU.

For mundane appearance settings, like Fast Styles, and generally efficient light models SketchUp is optimised for integrated GPU.

I emailed them asking how he's doing, keep your fingers crossed ..

Drag the floating toolbar by its top part into the top area or the left, and it should 'dock'.

Best of luck with which ever decision you go with. I just bought a new Dell XPS 8950 for work and I love it! Mine was a bit over $3k but it has to last for 4-5 years. It runs all my applications with ease. Specs are listed under my posts.

OK maybe I wasn't signed in on my laptop. If I sign in to the laptop before I leave home, can I use it offline at the jobsite?

You can try signing out and then back in again before you leave the office. The idea being it shouldn't need to check again for 28 days.
However this is not always guaranteed to work. Sometimes it just needs to do it continuously.
While on site if you have access to a wifi network or can connect your laptop using your phone you should be able to sign in and be good to go, until it decides otherwise.

I hate this system with a passion. My wireless connection is cellular and can be somewhat flaky and the number of times I have had to sign out and back in while actually in the middle of work is very aggravating. Just opening a second instance of SU can be enough for it to decide I'm not signed in.

If I was doing a lot of sitework these days I would probably keep a pre subscription copy on my laptop. Something that uses the older classic license, but even that I'm not so sure of.

Globe Plants has a Japanese black pine (Pinus Thunbergii - Japanese Black Pine) for $25 (USD) also available as a Sketchup file.

You should be able to make the adjustment in the control panel for your graphics card whatever that is.

You must have because the change in size is not uniform. Walls are 79.6% and posts are 81.6%. That suggests human intervention.
