Sketchphysics to shaderlight
-
Have being impressed with shaderlight so far and baught the full version, so worth it, but my question is can sketchphysics animations be rendered in shaderlight, and if so is there any tutorials on how to do so, i know sketchphysics animations can be rendered in twilight render and heres an example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Ebg7mylkiQ&feature=player_embedded can this be done in shaderlight???
-
Did you try the Shaderlight forums?
I've seen a few twilight renders. Shareck's tank and ecuadorians car. None from shaderlight though.
-
lol, always count on you to reply to my posts Rich, yeah i posted the same on the shaderlight forum, taught id post it here too, iv seen 1 clip with shaderlight rendering sketchphysics but its not a great example heres the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6uZHyEsPjY
to be honest i cant see how sketchphysics is used in this clip -
It gets even worse....
The guy that did the video you linked to is Irish also. He's in Dublin.
Have you tried Blender...
-
I did Rich, no luck with it to be honest, but have being getting great results with sketchup, iv a few shorts put together, working on a trailer, im sure you will be impressed with the animations i have created using sketchup once i release the trailer

heres a better clip demonstrating sketchphysics rendered in shaderlight http://www.youtube.com/user/J22Fish15?blend=4&ob=5#p/u/21/s4qHkKi0Nyw

That doesn't look rendered. Looks like native output. Shadows should be softer.
Best of luck getting ShaderLight to work. I know TwiLight works great with all animation plugins.
-
Cheers Rich, unfortunately im not going to fork out da yoyos for another rendering engine, hopefully ill get results and ill report it here for future searches

It says "Made with Google Sketchup and Sketchyphysics"
I was about to say that Indigo can handle sketchyphysics animations http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZ3TKfDPxVw, but since youยดre "not going to fork out da yoyos for another rendering engine"...
-
lol, cheers numbthumb, but like i said, no more yoyos, lol, ok im trying something different here, if i export the animation to skp files i should be able to render each skp file of the animation, yeah i know it should be time consuming as each skp file has to be rendered seperately, but again i ran into a problem, each skp file looks exactly the same as the first skp file showing no sketchphysics animation, why i dont know, iv posted a new topic on this matter, heres the link http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=41408 if someone can help me out here with this please

Shaderlight renders scene-based animations only so it won't work with sketchyphysics.
-
Wyatt i agree with u now after much research, but the skp files exported animation from sketchphysics should work, each file will have to be rendered individually tho, time consuming i know but once finished the render will of captured the sketchphysics animation, in theory it works but my issue now is when i export da animation in skp format the sketchphysics animation does not show
-
Ok, unfortunately shaderlight doesnt render sketchphysics animations automaticly, but u can export the animations as skp files and manually render each skp file and export as images, i have tested this and it works, but extremely time consuming none the less, im going to contact ArtVPS about this and see if they have any plans to have an automatic update for future version

What was the final results of these animation tests using Shaderlight?
-
It's been a while since I did this bit from what I remember shaderlight doesn't render a sketchphysics animation, I found you would have to export each frame as a seep rate sketchup file, then render each file, but the draw back was you will need to change each file and start the render manually, this is very time consuming and I gave up then
