      Thanks Hal,

Works for me. This is the Cadillac tool. ๐Ÿ˜„

Still think I'll roll my own pure rotator without a web form.

      Go for it!
It would be nice to have a visual screen rotation tool. with a similar diagram like with the 'rotate' tool, if you know what I mean.

you should contact the smustard dudes, I'm sure they'll try to get it to work on OSX

      very nice plugin!
      but, there's always a but... ๐Ÿ˜„

      1. would be nice if copying and pasting a controlled object between documents would work.
      2. doesn't work within components
      3. undo function doesn't quite work well... takes many undos to go back one visual step.

      keep up the good work!

Now that you mention that, I have an embarrasing one for you, my kid who was 11 at the time of me teaching him the ins and outs of SU when one day I was teaching him how to map textures to a sphere and I asked him to get an image of the earth to map from our server texture folder, he opened up the folder on the second monitor and dragged it onto the sphere, I exclaimed 'What on earth are you doing" and before I could complete my setence with the all to fimiliar 'you dumbass' the texture was mapped onto the sphere, sure it was not UV mapped correctly but I had not known that was possible. Being a wise-ass he replied "like every karate movie, the studend with enough practice becomes the master"
I had to create another cartoon character that day to show him who's boss.

      Huh?
When I drag images into a model, they come in as pictures, which I can place and explode if I want them to be used as textures. Do they automatically come in as textures for you?!?!?

    • RE: Right click menu disabled???

      Hi EarthMover,

I am unfamiliar with the different toolbars you are using and am curios what they are:

      1. the second column from the left - I recognize Vray and Twilight render. what are the others below them?
      2. the bottom most toolbars?
      3. 2D tools!? searched from them and couldn't fine them...

I remember seeing a thread with a ruby script toolbar pictures? anyone remember something like that?

Sorry I can't help with your problem ๐Ÿ˜„ good luck with that!

      Thanks!

Do all the components have the same axes?

In my current model, they all happen to be the same component which is spread all over the place in different orientations. But it would be nice to be able flip all sorts of different components, each along it's own axis...

    • [REQ] multiple flip along component's axis

      Hello fellow sketchupers

When I select a component - right click - flip along, I get:
      flip along components red
      flip along components green
      flip along components blue

When I select a bunch of components - right click - flip along, I get:
      flip along red axis
      flip along green axis
      flip along blue axis

Is there a way I could take a bunch of components and flip them all at once, each component along it's red/green/blue axis?

      Good Day

Did you empty out the folders? The internal folders in the .zip need to remain intact. Extracting to the plugins folder is the easiest way to go

The folders are intact. I have extracted the zip as it is, maintaining the folder structure just as I do with every other plugin I have installed. I double checked to see that the dl.bundle file is where it is supposed to be. I tried overwriting it with the dl.bundle that was posted here... but I still get the same error. I'll try removeing all the plugins I have to see if maybe something is interfering...

Removed all plugins and ran sketchup with only Sketchy Physics, and the same error comes up...

      Error Loading File sketchyphysics.rb
      Failed to load /Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp 7/SketchUp/plugins/SketchyPhysics3/dl.bundle

I have placed all of the files from "SketchyPhysics3RC1-MacAndWin-Fixed" into /Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp 7/SketchUp/plugins/ on my mac...

      suggestions?

    • RE: Lock toolbars

The Jumping Toolbar Syndrome! - PARTIAL SOLUTION
Sometimes I find myself battling the toolbars to get them all tight and snug (after the installation of a new ruby toolbar).
      for example:
I have three lines of toolbars lets say, and two of them are full, with the third line containing only a few buttons. I then try to place another toolbar on the third line, and instead of if being placed right next to it, it's placed on a fourth line, wasting all that space on the third line... argggh

I have found a solution to the jumping toolbar problem!
you must pack and cram each line of toolbars all the way to the end, until one of the toolbars get cropped, and then cram one more toolbar until one of the toolbars shifts to the next line automatically (sort of like an auto carriage return, or wordwrap). Now you can rearrange the toolbars on the third line, and they won't jump around! and you can replace the cropped toolbar from the second line to the third line too...

      Hope This Helps Someone

Wow Solo! The last image is very nice and realistic.

      1. What is the meaning of a node based texture? and what then is a non node based?

      2. Could you post some wireframes and other types of shaded images to further demonstrate how you did these renders?

      Thanks!

    • RE: Camera As an Object

It would even be nicer if the 'render area' which is defined in maxwell render would be preserved in the different cameras from film and stage...
I think we could definitely use a new and easier to use film and stage plugin!

    • RE: [Plugin] MXM Reporter (Maxwell Render)

Thank you very much for this plugin! I think it will be very useful. It seams to be working well!

Just a note with regard to Auto MXM material assignments:
There is a small bug in the maxwell exporter (this plugin is fine!) that if you have a material which includes '<' or '>' in it's name the autoMXM calls for mxm's that aren't necessarily with the exact same name.
      for example:
skp material '<black>' may call an MXM called 'blackberry' instead of not calling any material.
The bug has been reported to next limit, and should be fixed in next versions.
