      A question,
You used HDR background, but how did you get those shadows on the ground?
I mean, there is no ground surface right?
Really interested how you do that. Is that some option in Max where you can block the ground surface from the view, but still see shadows ?

      Very good question... πŸ‘
This was what I wanted to ask with the Neo render, where the shadow seem too dark/hard...
But I thought it was done in a post pro... 😳

As I read all this does anyone have any preferences or does everyone just use the default?

The Cinepak codec by Radius, is perhaps the safest choice of codecs for general usage... πŸ˜‰
Cinepak's main advantages are that the codec is already installed on most machines, and that it can play video reliably even on older machines such as Intel 486 computers...
Its disadvantage is that, when compared to other codecs, it tends to produce lower quality and larger file sizes... 😐

You can get the best free codecs at Codec-Download.com... πŸ˜‰

Thanks for sharing the info on TBD's 'drop.rb' ruby to place the array of low poly dummies on the sloped terrain...

Hopefully the SU2KT plug-in will be able to have a similar feature in near future... Sure will be handy for high poly components, cause SU sure has an issue with this... 😐

I'm not altogether sure I like what you're implying.

Sorry - but I don't know what or how you're interpreting what I've been writing...
I'm not trying to imply anything here... All I'm saying is that based on the fact that the engine running under the hood of Podium v. 1.5.1 is KT, the result should be fairly identical, but this is not what I've seen in this test... πŸ˜‰

      @unknownuser said:

... mainly because Podium is not using the exact same Kerkythea engine as in KT.

      πŸ˜• πŸ˜• πŸ˜•
TBD - you know that the core is identical, but maybe the settings are different, which's then showing in the result...
Nevertheless, I said that it should be very close to identical..! πŸ˜‰

Hands down I think the podium render looks the best and has the best overall feel to it.

I agree with you on that, Scott...
However, when knowing that Kwistenbiebel used the v. 1.5.1, where Kerkythea is the engine behind, you can start wondering why the render made using KT wasn't looking that good... πŸ˜’
Both renders should be very close to identical..! πŸ˜‰
