RE: Styles - where to get them...
Thanks for the heads up, Rich!
I have seen the Styles provided by Formfonts, but find the subscription fee a little pricy if it's only a few Styles I need...
I will check the 3D Warehouse and see if I can get something... -
Styles - where to get them...
Hi All,
It's been a while since I've posted anything here.
I know that I can get various great styles here at SketchUcation and also at Sketchupartists.org...
However, I'm sure that there are other great Styles available, but where...?
Any ideas is highly appreciated!

RE: [Plugin][$] FredoCorner - v2.7a - 31 Mar 24
Looking at the various errors you've posted recently, I assume that it's more a limitation of SU rather than a bug in the various plugins...
What usually helps is if you scale the model up - i.e. 10 times so one millimetre becomes one centimetre...
And once the plugins have made the job for you, you scale it down to the original size...The detail you seem to want to accomplish is not something SU is good at...

RE: My 50 cents - grouping/foldering of layers and scenes
Those plugins sure are great, Juju!
However, I also feel that it should be a native SU feature rather than a 3rd party plugin... -
RE: [Plugin] ProLine (RC-2019_0205_1636)
Looks great...
I'll definitely need to give this one a go...
Thanks! -

Something to keep in mind, SUbD isn't just about organic modelling.
It's about low poly to high poly. But it can be easily used on medium poly to smooth everything nicely before rendering.Good point...
I know that a lot of other 3D modelling applications are utilizing this in a much wider extend...
3dMax have the Turbo Smooth option...
If users import such model into i.e. SU, they look really edgy... -
RE: [Plugin] Number Components
This looks really cool...
If only these numbers could be "ported" to LayOut and replaced by i.e. an auto text in LO with the numbers...
This could be so nice as it can be used for position numbers in LO...
I suppose that would require that LO also had an option for plugins...?!? -

Just remember it is just me programming this thing, I don't have a whole team of professional programmers working behind the scenes, creating the magic.
Yes, I'm fully aware which makes this even more impressive...

What I meant was simply that I didnβt understood the meaning of the word using Google.
No worries, Jan... I actually just wanted to make you aware of the "define: xxxxx" option available in Google...
I'm fairly sure you would have found reasonable explanation and understanding if you had used that option... -

For a non native english speaker. Could you explain what converge is?
Googling it didnt help.Strange...
I get a lot of results - especially if I write "define: converge" in Google...Even Google translate has a nice explanation...

Select the 6 slats and converge with shift or ctrl key while you move them, that is the trick
Got it...
Hold down the shift-key when clicking the pins and then converge...!
This gives me a ton of new options and ideas...Thanks, Oxer...!

REMEMBER: Create the frame with 3 slats to do the cloth moves. See the image of my previous entry.
Ok... I've made the frame with 3 slats...
At first I couldn't make it work - because I had grouped them...One IMPORTANT info is missing...
You need to move the frame-pins one by one...
It can't be done by moving all three in one go...

@oxer said:
HornOxx & Frederik, the trick is to create the frame with 3 elements because if the frame is an unique object ClothWorks creates a box for the pin and this makes that the cloth does not move.
But like I wrote...
I don't have the issue HornOxx is experiencing...
The frame and the cloth moves correct when I click the play button, click the frame and move the frame and cloth by dragging the red arrow that emerge, when I click the frame...

Care Frederik!! "The curiosity killed the cat"
But seriously...
When I converge the cloth+frame with the balls (collider), the cloth doesn't bend as I would expect...I press the ClothWorks play button, click the frame (pin) and drag the red arrow towards the balls, but the cloth just remain stiff and doesn't fold around the balls...
I don't get the result HornOxx is showing in his animation...
I assume that's caused by the cloth isn't "inside" the frame...?!? -
RE: Medeek Wall Plugin
This looks really interesting, however, when trying to download the trial version on your website (http://design.medeek.com/resources/medeekwallplugin.html) I get a "The page cannot be found" message...?!?
Furthermore there's another serious mistake on the page...
