I have no experience with Vista, so can't say if that's what causing the problem...

If you keep the lights as spot-lights, are they then working correct when you render your scene..??

If not then there must be an issue with where you've placed the spot lights...
If they render correct, then... ...then I don't know...

If they render correct with normal spot-lights, I suggest you e-mail the scene to me... frederik at kerkythea dot net
