I think it's worth pointing out in the plugin description that since it uses sun for shading, it has a negative impact on SketchUp's performance.
While it shouldn't be problematic with small models, the heavy ones will lag badly.
But anyway, this setup can often be really helpful so thank you

RE: [Plugin][$] Vertex Tools
Hi,
I'd like to say something more about vertex bevel here (I hope you don't have enough of me yet).
I was able to reproduce the bug I once had when bevelling vertices of a face and I noticed two undesired things happening:- After selecting all verts of the Y letter and bevelling them a little the face gets removed, leaving only the edges. That I find a bug.
- Bevel widths are uneven and these bevel are unsymmetrical. I guess that's because bevel values here are not absolute but relative to the length of bevelled edges. This surely makes sense, but it would also be very nice having another option for symmetrical bevels with absolute offset. Perhaps this could be performed by simply adding a unit following a typed value, just like in native SketchUp. For example, type "0.1m" instead of "0.1" in the VDB to get the absolute value.

You have some basic pdf here!
(and you are lucky in English )
I mean, yes, the instructions are good. The usage of this plugin is well documented.
What I wanted to say is, there are lots of valuable tools spread across forums and hidden in the darkness of the internet that could make work so much easier for many people, and there's no unique place to store them and keep them organized, with proper files kept in the way they are easy to find. You really have to dig deep sometimes, or just luckily stumble upon some gem (as I did yesterday). In this competition I find Blender and its addons better organized than SketchUp. But it's just my impressions and thoughts, and maybe I'm just polluting this thread -
RE: New plugin found at ferrari architecture
Oh my, it finally works!
I wish these old sketchup gems were a bit better documented. It's a wasted potential lying in these little scripts that most people are not even aware of, or they are not determined enough to dig and ask others for help to barely launch them.
Thank you, Pilou, a lot for your help! -

Rather not.
But try contacting the developer, maybe they will help you. And let us know if you find something out:

RE: How to Set all selected items to elevation
Hi,
It's been a minute, I know, but I still have the Move2Elev plugin if you want to give it a try. But I believe there are many other plugins that can be used instead. Perhaps vertex tools or something with "align" in name. I don't remember exactly how this one works.
Here it is:[mod=:1ve79dnz]File removed. because the author hasn't authorized redistribution.[/mod:1ve79dnz]

RE: New plugin found at ferrari architecture
Yes, I know it's old. Just wanted to give it a chance hoping it would work.
TIG, I use all the plugins you pointed, but Ferrari looks so cool that I'll use the old SketchUp just for it. I think it's worth it.

RE: [Plugin] QuadFaceTools
Hi,
I have a little suggestion.
Currently the color live mesh analysis uses real sketchup materials and thus is destrudtive. Any materials that were already applied to faces, get wiped away. I don't think there is any way to restore them. Is there?
So I was thinking,
Maybe this tool could work non-destructively, by overlaying the topology-indicating colors on top of the screen, instead of painting faces. This would protect any materials that are already applied to faces. That would be a much welcome change. -
RE: [Plugin][$] Vertex Tools
I've got one more feature suggestion.
Merge close vertices "through groups", so if many groups/ components are selected, instead of raw geometry, vertice merge can also be performed. Currently it seems that we can only work on raw geometry. Merging vertices is sometimes a crucial fixing/ optimization algorithm and it's good if it can process many objects at once.I recently worked with a model - bunch of people, hundreds of thousands of faces altogether and it got imported so bad that every single face was separate, can you imagine that... I mean, I know you can. I worked around by exploding all the groups, merging the vertices and regrouping with "Loose to groups" plugin, but I would rather not repeat that in SketchUp anymore...

RE: [Plugin] Mirror
Hello,
I have an idea - it would be very handy to have an axis snapping feature based on keyboard arrows, similar to the one in the native line tool.
The exact behaviour I have in mind is:- Activate the tool,
- Pick first point,
- hit one of the keyboard arrows while guiding a "virtual line" to lock direction: X, Y or Z,
- possibly repeat for the second line, so the two lines will quickly form one of the main planes: XY, XZ or YZ. Alternatively, only one line could be locked to a main axis, and the other would be drawn freely.
Sure, there is axis snapping for this tool already, and it works well. Though, in some situations using arrows to instantly snap the "virtual line" to axes would benefit for working speed.
It's just a suggestion, if you have time and will to further develop this tool

RE: [Plugin][$] Vertex Tools
Hello Thom Thom,
Sorry I am responding back to your post so late, but lately I was the one to have rather hard (busy) timeYou asked me to specify exactly what I meant by that request:
"bevel vertices with more segments (like Fredo Corner, but Fredo Corner doesn't work with flat faces)"
My suggestion was to enable not only bevelling vertices but also rounding them. So let's say bevelling means that you add one edge at a vertex between two existing edges and rounding means that you add more edges and create an arc between them. Like in Blender - you bevel a vertex and use mouse scroll to add more segments. This is the feature I pursue. There are several corner-rounding tools for SketchUp but none of them allows manipulating vertices directly, like your plugin does. That's why I believe my suggestion makes sense

RE: [Plugin] QuadFaceTools
I can see there is a new version. What has changed? There is no changelog.

RE: SCFLicense: Extension Licensing on Sketchucation
The instruction PDF is not very clear at the beginning. It says:
"Licensed extensions have a License... menu."
but it's not explained where the menu is. I finally figured out that I have to go to Tools > Fredo6 Collection > Fredo Corner (or other plugin) > License, but this could be stated in the doc. That's my little suggestion. -
RE: [Plugin] FredoTools::ColorFlatMode - v1.0a - 18 Nov 19
Hello!
Just wanted to say how nice this plugin is when I use imported gradient textures that need to blend smooth with SketchUp "vanilla" colours.
Here you can see screenshots taken straight from SketchUp viewport with Color Flat Mode versus SketchUp default shading.
With the default shading it's impossible to achieve proper blending.Thank you!

RE: [Plugin][$] Vertex Tools
Hi,
I was thinking of how to achieve controlled one-axis scale with vertex tools 2.
As far as I know, we currently have two methods of scaling, each having its limitations:- the "gizmo scale" where we can scale vertices in one axis (non-uniform scale) but cannot choose to scale origin - it is arbitrary set to center of selection,
- the scale tool available from toolbar icon, where we can scale with more precision: pick scaling origin, then source and target position. Very handy, but only lets us do uniform scale.
It would be very cool to combine advantages of both methods and have a precise, non-uniform scaling tool with soft selection.
PS Still looking forward to custom falloff and more falloff preset (Γ la Blender proportional editing)
PS 2 From time to time I get a message that my VT2 licence is invalid, then I have to type my key again. It is not a big issue as it happened a few times this year (firstly with VT, now with VT 2), but I thought I would mention it.

RE: [Plugin][$] JointPushPull Interactive - v4.9a - 02 Apr 25
That's weird. I actually did a cleanup using ThomThom's plugin and JPP first threw an error. Then did a cleanup again and JPP worked fine.
I don't know why it happened but sorry for bothering you. -
RE: [Plugin][$] JointPushPull Interactive - v4.9a - 02 Apr 25
Then would it be possible for the plugin to skip the ill-formed faces, leave them unextruded and proceed?
Ok, some of the faces are broken but most of them are OK. Why break entire operation due to a few wicked faces? -
