    • RE: Repetitive Strain in Wrist

Sounds like carpal tunnel syndrome. When I get it, I wear a wrist brace with a steel support bar in it (to keep the wrist straight) for a few days, until the pain goes away. I usually get it after very prolonged bouts of mouse clicking.

John, you forgot the window clasps. What a shame that such an otherwise perfect rendering is marred by such an obvious ommission. πŸ˜‰

They look great, Dean. I think I'd crop the foreground in the first image.

Good start. Your block size is inconsistent, and it isn't reflected in the design (for instance, the grilled opening in the wall on the left doesn't conform to the block dimensions). You might consider adjusting your block size, then adjust your masonry walls accordingly, and fit everything else in between 'em.

    • RE: LumenRT 4

I've loaded Vue Inf. 11.5 on my new computer with the specs you recommended, and I loaded a fairly detailed SU model of a building and test rendered (no trees, ground, etc.) it at one of the higher settings - it took about 5 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised by the speed.

Pete, you mentioned clients love it 'cause they can navigate around in it; I'm assuming you are referring to the live cubes? Have you had any trouble with clients opening them? That was one of the options that first attracted me to the program. When I first got LumenRT and created live cubes, they wouldn't open on other computers as they didn't meet the required specs to do so.

Have you tried importing VUE scenes into LumenRT? Have you tried the new rain feature in Vue? Sadly, I've been too busy to do no more than load the programs on my computer. 😞

Could this be a problem with the computer itself (graphics card, insufficient memory)? Jim's model doesn't look that complicated. I agree with OIliver; 2-3 hours seems too much.

    • RE: Kitchen Island Storage

Beautiful design and rendering. Style-wise, I have a problem with that traditional 6-panel door in a contemporary design. I assume the door is existing; maybe put a panel over it so it complements the kitchen? Composition-wise the image is unnaturally rigidly ordered. Even the tea cups are arranged as if someone measured them out with a ruler. Introduce some disorder. Re-arrange the tea cups, rotate one of the stools slightly, push one of those canisters back a bit.

Nice renderings, Jason. but why is Red hidding behind the seat? You've got to highlight a project's assets.

    • RE: Vray render of house in the woods plz give feedback

Dear Mr. Stick, I think your rendering looks too gray, as if it were an overcast, hazy day. If you can make your colors pop more, as Master Tadema has done, it would be a great improvement. Also, the pavement in the foreground needs a better texture, rather than plain gray. I do like the fiery red sunset sky, though.

Nice video and design. The kitchen needs some detailing. It struck me as odd that there is a fire going int he fireplace during a warm season.

    • RE: So where is the proper place to ask this question....

It's hard to determine an appropriate design without seeing the design of the rest of the room/house.
