We have various manufacturer (elevators, lighting, windows, doors, flashing, etc.) always offering to come into the office and present a lunch-n-learn presentation, which usually offers 1-2 CEUs. We at least get a free lunch.

RE: Landscaping Project
Looking good, Carloh; must throw in my two cents, for what it's worth. The grating on the ramp appears as if it has some grooves in it, and I wonder, when wet, if it wouldn't be too slippery especially for someone walking with a cane. In the U.S., for a ramp that high, you would need a guardrail at 42" high as well as a handrail at 34."
Looking forward to seeing more of the project.

RE: A view out of the window.
I hadn't noticed until you mentioned it, but on second look...OMG! That looks awful! I can't believe you even posted that! do you have no shame?
(just kidding)

RE: A more traditional look!
looks nice. I'd crop the bottom some more to reduce the asphalt (asphalt just aint attractive!). Also, looks like it might be washed out a bit - the roof tiles looks pink and the sports car light red.

RE: Mucked up my environment?
Downloaded it and couldn't find any problems. Some suggested corrections/changes:
the meeting rail on the upper and lower sashes should align (on a traditional window, the are narrower than the other stiles and rails. Likewise on traditional windows the bottom rail on the bottom sash is wider than the others. But I noticed on most vinyl windows this isn't the case.)
Create a generic color such as "window frame" for the frame and sashes so people can simply edit it to get the desired color, without having to repaint the components. Likewise with the window glass.

And what is the image of this icon ?@unknownuser said:
All those years going through the pull-down edit menu.
Seems you have also the Shortcut G on a selection !

I've checked and the icon is on 2013, 8, 7, and 6. It might have been on earlier version, but can't confirm.

RE: Traditional
John, just trying to find a new way of saying "looks great." Maybe one day the southerner in me will come out and throw you for a loop.
FYI, the corner blocks are called quoins (pronounced coins).

RE: The "Duh!" thread (aka the Doh! thread)
I had an embarrassing DOH! moment the other day...I just discovered the "make component" icon on the toolbar! When was that added? All those years going through the pull-down edit menu.

RE: The itsy bitsy spider
As awesome as a waterspout may look, I don't think it can hold a candle to a SHARKNADO!

RE: The itsy bitsy spider
From Wikepedia:
A waterspout is an intense columnar vortex (usually appearing as a funnel-shaped cloud) that occurs over a body of water, connected to a cumuliform cloud. In the common form, it is a non-supercell tornado over water. While it is often weaker than most of its land counterparts, stronger versions spawned by mesocyclones do occur. Waterspouts do not suck up water; the water seen in the main funnel cloud is actually water droplets formed by condensation.

RE: How many of you have updated to SU 2013?
I upgraded at work, but not at home yet due to laziness.
