RE: Across America

I had one of these when i was 16, the freedom and pain it gave me were immeasurable !
Oh, the pain. When I was 12, we moved to a farm and I had a Honda MR 50. After about a year it developed the habit of breaking down when I was miles from home, and I'd have to pushed it home. It got to the point I said to hell with it, I'll walk. And then there was the time I slid under a barbed wire fence...

RE: Church building
Nice, interesting design. I, too, thought of a sports arena. It would be interesting to see ou develop it further, as either.

RE: Speed Modeling Contests?
Propose one. Unless you want to award a prize (besides bragging rights), I don't think the moderates have to do so.

RE: Bachelor studio flat
looking good. Like the art work. But, where's the 60" flat screen TV. Geesh, get your priorities straight!

RE: Outdoor Room
Looks good, as usual.
Is the woman in the first image blind? 'Cause she's one step away from running into that column in front of her. Maybe her sunglasses are just too dark? I suggest moving her to the left, so she's walking next to the colonnade, or replacing her with someone walking to the right. -
RE: Purple Kitchen
Looks nice, Simon. I think you should add some "stuff" inside those upper cabinets; with the glass doors, can see that they are strangely empty.

RE: House Render any suggestions?
The building itself looks okay, but don't de-saturate the plants or use ghost trees - they do not look natural. Do away with one of the trees in the foreground, as they are covering up too much of the subject. If that is not an option ('cause they are existing?), try rotating your view to the left. That would have the added bonus of hiding some of the driveway paving. Your sky looks washed out.

RE: Battle of the Documentation Programs.
It depends on what I am doing.
For production drawings, I've used DataCAD since '93.
For presentations (involving SU) I usually use Layout. Or, just raw SU output. -
RE: Seat by Ranson Culler
That's one of the most realistic modeling jobs I've seen of a couch. Add a butt imprint on one of the cushions and it would be perfect.

RE: How many forum members does it take to change a light bulb?
+1 to be inspired to model and render a light bulb, and post it in the gallery.
+1 to comment it would make a great "render this" challenge. -
RE: Small Jazz Club
Nice renderings, Jason. Design-wise, I think those lights on the bench backs are problematic - people will brush up against them, or lean back on to them.

RE: Goldfinger's Rumpus Room
What, no Pussy Galore? How lazy can you be? Other than that obvious omission, looks great.
