    • RE: Image Viewers

If you are using XP, a slide show viewer is built right into the "My Pictures" folder.

To view your pictures as a slide show.
      Open the "My Pictures" folder.
Under Picture Tasks (on the left hand top, top) click View as a slide show.

In all other folders, you can select "View" and select "Thumbnails."

Slideshow is only available in the "My Pictures" folder. "Thumbnail" is available in ALL folders.

Wow. I saw that movie when it came out. A not so subtle jab at society in those times.

That really brings back some memories.

You need to open a realworld gallery. You are producing some great stuff amd Solos texture blended in well. I can actually come to this forum just for the pure fun of it. You have an audience or maybe following would be a better word.

      Agreed.

If you can't open your own gallery, go find one. I used to be neck deep in the art scene of a very large metropolis and I think you can sell a lot of those.

Art tip: Many collectors (not all, just many) don't think it's real art unless it's large format. How large? Think "feet." They want something the size of area rugs for their money. And at several hundred plus, I can't blame them. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Large format printers are very nice these days. You can have it done and factor in the cost to the gallery. Heck, the gallery should be able to help you.

Wow! You should get yourself and those creations to an art gallery!

Thank you all. I look forward to being around for a while.

No, ecofeco is not my real name. I rarely use my real name on the Internet. Old habit. As I get to know everyone around here, I'll tell my real name.

Thanks for the links. I'm also plowing through the tuts on YouTube. The more I learn, the more my jaw drops. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ This is one amazing program!

O.K. see you on the main boards. Well, at least the tuts for now. ๐Ÿ‘

SketchUp is 3d for the people, and with the ruby possibilities also by the people.

Having dabbled dabbled with many other 3D apps (and almost learned them) I can tell you this is the truth.

I've only gone through a few tuts, and this is by far the fastest, most versatile and easiest
      3d app I've ever seen.

No, it isn't 3DMax or Maya or Blender, but not everyone is looking for a Ferrari when all we need is a Ford.

So is there really going to be v7?

    • Where is Layout?

Crazy question, but I can't find it. How do you access it?

I'm using the free version (6.4) so maybe it doesn't come with it.

      Yeah, I'm still learning. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

    • The new guy

      Hi there!

Yep, I'm new. I've signed up here and over at the Google forum as well.

SketchUp is by far the most interesting 3D program I've ever seen. I've used Bryce, Blender, 3DMax and some other odds-n-ends apps, and SU seems by far the most versitile and easy.

I do many things. I've worked in many fields. But one thing I've always done is design and invent, but I've only been able to self teach. Couldn't afford school. This looks like just the program I've been waiting for. I don't need high end renders or animation... yet. Just a program to get my ideas off paper and work them out.

I've already downloaded the first 2 pages of tutorials. Just want to say thanks. Those are just what I've been looking for. I've done the Google basic and I am amazed with this program.

Well, that's a lot of gabbing for an obscure corner of a board. I'll post something in a few weeks.

(in the future, please don't mind my grammar. I can't proofread my own writing for the love of money ๐Ÿ˜† but I always fix it later)
