    • RE: How do I draw a table top with curved sides?

Make sure you are drawing your arc flat. watch the inference colour of the arc tool, it should be red or green depending on the side you are working on and not BLUE or Black.

same shape from above and front, looks right from above but arc has gone in the blue direction.

Do you happen to have a graphics tablet, I had a similar problem in another program and eventually found it was the drivers for the tablet.
I updated the tablet driver and the problem went away.

    • RE: Best practice for drilling multiple holes?

If it was me, I would create single components for each size tube.
Make these components a uniform length containing one hole on each side.
Hide the edges of the open ends.
Then make your lengths from these copied components.
This way you can make any length you want as long as it is a multiple of your original component, and only have to make four holes.

    • RE: Help - erasing diagonals in convex shapes

I think what most people have been trying to politely say in most of your threads is, If you try learning the basics first you will do so much better.

Trying to use a plug in before you understand how to do something manually will only slow you down in the future.

    • RE: UK Riots

The current activities in the U.K. are the equivalent of school yard bullying on a wider scale.
It has nothing to do with Politics, Race, Creed, Religion or any legitimate form of Protest.
It is the work of small minded individuals who take advantage of mob mentality.

A bully in the schoolyard only has power when those on the sideline do nothing. The victim cannot go to their parents or the teachers, they have to solve it on their own.

In this case the police or authorities, however you want to look at it, will become the bad guys, just like your parents going to talk to the bully's parents.

The peaceful majority of the U.K. population need to come out in force and stand against the Ignorant minority.

I think it was Edmund Burke who said, "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."

I would like to see the Brooms put into action before the sweeping needs to be done. If social media can be used to bring out the "Protesters" and the clean up crews, could it not be a force to stand between the water cannons and those that wish to take that which isn't owed to them.

It may sound simplistic, but protest and revolution is about everyone expressing their opinion. It's about time people stopped watching what is served up to them on the TV and went out and took back their world.

    • RE: Where to stay in France

The Musée d'Orsay is pretty much in the tourist center of Paris so your budget is significant with regards staying nearby.
Also length of stay, you may be able to find a short term holiday rental which will allow you to have cooking facilities.

As to the markets and fresh local food, you'll get that anywhere in France, and most of the rest of Europe.

I'm sure our French friends will give you some more details but I feel they might need a bit more info from you. If not specifics of your budget at least how long you want to stay.

Looks to me like a classic case of the not understanding the brief.

I have had this happen many times over the years and the only real solution is to find another Architect who can understand what you want.

    • RE: Shape bender question: bend along the inside of the curve

I'm sorry, but now you are showing a third image.

I think you have several issues that need to be addressed but it's hard to understand what they are.

And from what I've seen, none of them relate to Organic Modelling.

Edit: Apart from that, you need to look at the placement of your axis and the adjustment via the arrow keys.

    • RE: Shape bender question: bend along the inside of the curve

I'm not sure why you started another thread, but that's beside the point.

Are you doing this to understand shape bender or do you just want this shape?

The shape you want can be made simply by creating a curved object of the correct thickness then extruding your profile through it, intesecting and removing the excess.

This would give you straight sides but they can always be corrected.

You have not explained in your threads what it is that you want to achieve.

It's difficult for people to give you the correct advice if they don't know what you really want to produce.

      Turn off Hidden Geometry.

      View/untic Hidden Geometry

P.S. Normal offset won't work on a curved surface, you need the offset from Tools On Surface.
