RE: Interesting Furniture
I know some people who would benefit from having the cradle on both sides.

RE: Sketchup I pad
Thanks Pilou, but that looks a little more complex than what I was after.

RE: Sketchup I pad
Does anyone know of a similar system/application that will work this way on an Android device?
I mean as a viewer.

RE: Why does my bottom info bar disappear?
Click, click and type, gives you resize model.
Click and type gives you a guide point at the typed position.

RE: Why does my bottom info bar disappear?
You might find it's the CTRL key. Check for a small + next to the measure tool.

RE: _1_People Have The Power_1_
Basically you are talking about true democracy.
Some other large countries could learn a thing or two from this.

Nostromo gaming keyboard
I picked up one of these cheap a few days ago and thought it worth mentioning.
It's a very nice way to have all you key shortcuts at the tip of your fingers. This one has 16 programable buttons. Each button can have 8 different maps in a single profile and you can have many different profiles. Basically too many possibilities for anyone to keep in their head.
I've never been great fan of keyboard shortcuts because I always have to stop and look, touch typing has never been my strong suit.
So far I have mapped all the basics to the first level of the16 keys and in no time at all I'm changing tools, deleting, rotating etc without even thinking about it.
For me, best addition to SU ever.

RE: Best Antivirus? (AVG won't install)
Just personally, I have never had ads from AGV free and it runs quietly in the background for me.
I avoid anything Microsoft or Apple related just on principal.
Plus I keep Malwarebytes free up to date and have never had any problems.

Just a simple first suggestion.
Firewall. Both one you have installed and the standard windows one. -

I saw this today and thought of you.

I can see it becoming a very useful building material.

RE: Modelling effiency, reducing file size
Using the tyre as an example, you can look at using a repeat component to create the wheel. Make the wheel as complex as you like but then only use a few degrees of the full 360, make that a component and then copy it as an array. This will reduce the file size but done too much will affect the speed of SU. I posted about the compromise some time back, i'm on my phone so a little difficult
to search for it, If i find it I will post the link which explains more.Edit: Not so hard to search

RE: Horse head
By your definition only sketchup output should be posted in the gallery.
That leaves out an awful lot of Renders.
Yes it's a sketchup forum, but it is a Forum! a place for like minded people to discuss things of similar interest.
And besides that, Michalis does use sketchup, and I for one find it interesting and informative the way he is able to combine various techniques and bring them together in sketchup. -
RE: Rotating Spherical pieces around a common axis
That's easy for you to say Tig
