It makes no difference which of my three computers I use I consistently get error messages when I try to Update extensions. This has been a problem even back in Ver 2017.
I've worked around it by just re-installing, but I thought I'd give it one more try to get a resolution.

The current list of trouble makers is:
Vertex Tools
Trimble Connect
S4u-Slice
cleanup3
Advanced Camera Tools
Dynamic Components
Place Shapes Toolbar
TT_Lib2

This all started when I updated the drivers.

SketchUp uses OpenGL.
I'd expect your Graphics Card to have > v3.?
OpenGL v4.5

Ensure that its drivers are up to date,
Version 391.35 is the latest

and it is enabled for SketchUp etc...
Do you mean that Trimble SketchUp is in the Manage 3d Settings list?

Use your NVIDIA Control Panel and set it to 'Let the 3d application decide'...
Let the 3d application decide what? OpenGL? Hardware Acceleration?

SketchUp should auto-configure itself...

Either accept all of the default settings, or consider removing it from the list if it's still being awkward...
This has all of the default settings since I did not go into NVidia Control Panel/3D Settings/Manage 3D Settings to change any of the 21 settings

The road and side roads cover an area of 3600' x 1440' of hilly terrain so this might be difficult (but not impossible). What I'm really trying to do is use a road texture not just add a centerline.

Alas, with regard to projection, I don't know how to do what you suggest.

I know there is a thread/post that showed exactly how to put a road-with-centerline texture onto a curved road and I'm frustrated that I can't find it.

I need to put a texture of asphalt with a white centerline on a twisting road. I know I've seen how to do this either on this forum or Thea forum but searching failed to find it.

The road is a maze of triangles. I tried using QuadFace Tools but had no success.

You can see two in the picture. There are two or three others, but all the rest are tiny,
I'm sure there are many others with 4k monitors: I wonder how they've solved the problem. I tried to do a search, but the search engine on this forum is not up to the job.

I'm only 255 miles from Palm Springs (~5 hours by car) so I don't have any excuse to not go (Unless Rich O'Brien isn't coming).

~$1200 for the motel for the week and $500 for the 3-day sessions isn't too bad considering it will be our vacation for the year (and the Marriott Desert Springs Resort is an awesome place to stay). I'm sure my wife will have plenty of things to enjoy while I'm "Camping".

I know this must have been discussed last year, but the search tool rejects "4K" as being too small to find.

I am using a 55" 4K OLED monitor set at full resolution and 300% scale. The problem is that although SU toolbar icons appear "full size", the icons for extension toolbars are too small to see. How have you who are using 4K monitors solved this problem?

Maybe playing with the ‘inset’ parameter will give you what you want?
You can set it to minus if you want the frame of the window to protrude outward.

I'm using Profilebuilder2 in SU2018. When I implement a profile on a line I get two objects, one right on top of the other.

• How do you cause the resizing red dots to appear?

• It appears that the wall cannot be a component or a group before using the tool.

• When I provide a pre-cut hole and try to put a window in it, the window snaps to the edge of the hole and the window is a fixed object and does not allow "rubberband" stretching.

• Using the Dynamic Components Component Attributes toolbar button, all dimensions are metric with no apparent way to change to imperial.

This is absolutely necessary. I've spent hours doing trial-and-error trying to figure out what each of the parameters relates to.
