This happened to me too since 2019. I think it is a sneaky bug that just got in and no one hardly noticed, but yes, Isometric views export to DWG or other line software aren't up to scale. I use it often to to Iso views in my 2D cad drawings, and they aren't to scale since the 2019 version, they used to be before. At first I thought it was some plugin issue (because I use a lot of them and I sometime encounter compatibility problems, but I did a few clean re-install since and it was there nonetheless. I just kinda live with it now

@autarchos said: I will try to reinstall SU2017 as admin, but fairly certain that isn't the issue... the same thing happens on my personal computer as well where I only have an admin account. You missed a very important part of my reply to you. @unknownuser said: Being the system admin is not the same so you would still need to use Run as administrator. Being the administrator for your computer IS NOT THE SAME. You need to use Run as administrator from the menu after you right click on the installer. See this. What do you get if you send the scene to LayOut and export a PDF from there?

Hi, Thank you (Both) for this interesting contribution! I export almost daily SkUp material to Adobe CS, especially Adobe Illustrator. Although I am not a PDF expert, I would like to add one little piece of "Learning by Doing"-advice: If I export a PDF out of SketchUp, the window (below) appears. I will always provide to adjust the maximum possible export size here in order to avoid that line- or polygon segments get below the fixed SkUp-Size Tolerance. The bigger the better @ Pete: I would be interested, if your export will work better, if you resize your model up 10 times or 100 times before exporting? (just for a testing) @ Dave: Thank you! - I never thought about the Open GL settings in this context [image: KpbA_PDF_Export_Sice.jpg]

Yep. Happened to me, too. There's a suggestion for Macs in the Google help forum (Gaieus was there, too) "To anyone else searching for this, go to user->library->preferences and delete all com.google files." I'm using SU Pro 8.0.4811 + numerous rubies on Win 7 64 bit A quick search for this string (com.google) gave no direct matches, but some with "com80-kh.google" - which look like some sort of licence or authorisation file so I'm reluctant to kill'em. If its relevant, I'm using Firefox as browser, but there's a feral IE somewhere there too.

Emmisive materials are not meant for main source of illumination. Use light objects for the actual illumination, and use emmisive lights for visual effect. V-Ray, being biased, will do less samples in dark areas, as one usually doesn't see details that well in darker area. Which is why when you have a fully dark night scene you can get these artifacts while in a dyalight render with the same settings you won't see them. You should be able to place the lights inside the light bulb, but have you assigned a fuly transparent glass material? In Sketchup one usually use a partially transparent material, while in V-Ray the diffuse should be 100% transparent and an reflection layer. (also an refraction layer if you use thick glass)

Check under export what settings you have. Maybe its mm and your importing as meters?
