If you want, you can even set up scenes with certain views (and even camera settings like perspective/orthogonal) and by clicking on these scenes, you can easily navigate between the different views.

Cabu, I have a laptop with the same video card and I don't have this issue. If it locks up and turning off hardware acceleration "seems" to fix the problem, it is only a sign of your video card (or in this case, rather your video driver) being the problem. You should try to find a more up-to-date video driver and update your existing one since working with HW acceleration off will definitely slow down your SU especially noticeably with bigger models.

It all depends on what you are making the model for - if the the inner walls are going to be seen, then model them otherwise don't bother. As for the circle, try different #'s of segments to see what works best for the current project - there is no correct answer.

Well, I started using SU more than 3 years ago, when SU 5 "Beta" was first made free by Google after acquiring the software. I have been struggling with and complaining abut this ever since. But sigh... In fact, with an extra step,it can be solved...

Are the files locked somehow? Do you have full access to them as a user? What is the error message when you try to delete them? Or do they just magically re-appear after you delete them? Have you emptied the trash? I guess more information would be helpful to troubleshoot this problem.

Hi folks. Another possibility is to add a line from one "pole" of the sphere to the other (show hidden geometry to find them easily). After that, using X-Ray mode will allow you to snap to this line center which is also the sphere center. Just ideas.

From what you are trying to do, set sky and ground, I think you need to go to Styles - Edit. Here you can add/change the sky and ground. See attached image (although this is Mac) [image: Qi0C_SketchUpSS001.jpg]

Yes, exactly. Like in your your place, Ward, mine is also mostly consists of buildings that are attached to each other. There is often a conflict when Google says that the side is not textured (of course, there is another building there) so I don't even care; I use a dummy brick firewall texture to satisfy them. I also have a nice roof texture that would fit on about 80% of the old houses here (I can't use GE imagery because it's rather low res for this and also not taken straight from above). No matter what you use just use photos.
