Odd, this issue has been buzzing me... It looks like you have entities already in place, at the angles you want this new item to be, so I would try something along the lines of adding the new item to the other component definition as a sub component. If the 'angled surfaces' are not components make them so. Do it once, or twice, depending on how many angles... and you are done. My case required two, even though it looks like more. Thanks for the response Mike. But I will suggest that even before I sign a contract on a job, I like to tell my "future" clients that "I'm looking forward to working with them". Regardless, of the closing date, it looks, as far as I can tell, like a "done deal". (apology's for all the quotation marks). bonjour.......une chose a savoir c est que vray bouffe énormément de mémoire et SU fonctionne encor en 32 bit il n est pas optimisé et en plus de cela les programmeurs ne se sont pas vraiment fatigué pour fiabiliser la gestion de la mémoire de SU Donc il faut limiter au maximum toutes sorte de textures de photos etc.....ou bien réinstaller tout bien proprement

Merci, Pilou. I don't think I need Chris' PI for this as I have no problem selecting the faces that I want. I'm not sure how the TIG code bits help, either. I want each face or each face group to be made into an instance of the same component. Your mark-up tool is very nice, though. Is it available in English?

I have used it to create animations and simulations of engineering projects built by others in my department [flash=600,410:1m4yup38]http://www.youtube.com/v/ZUL6S5JMxls[/flash:1m4yup38] The videos are produced as part of progress reports to partners and clients, and the models and animations help to illustrate functions that are difficult to see in real life, or which may be dangerous to film on-site.

Another thing : with the plugin Mover (this is Mover 2 : I have made the animation with Mover 0 ) I believe than you can't see the animation if Mover is not installed mover.skp

Also note that TIG is probably the most patient of us all - so when he goes like this he is losing his temper.

I wonder if AD plans to bundle this with AutoCAD Mac like they do with AutoCAD on the PC? That is that you get Inventor Fusion with your copy of AutoCAD.

While I think you can go a long way with site plans and SU, I think that you as a Civil engineer should look at discussions on inaccuracies within SU. For example you cannot draw a "true" circle. Just search "accuracy" or "inaccuracy" on these forums. For CAD you might look at Draftsight or DoubleCAD. I don't use them but they are cheap and seem usable. You are a little early, as Trimble is buying SU, and perhaps some capabilities will be added in the Civil direction. Sorry Gai, but the right tools for the right job, as it were.

Well, thanks and that's very good news that it ain't nothing to do with SCF. I only saw it that once for awhile, perhaps while another (bad) tab was open. ? . No bad browser extensions found, no such programs installed, but there was an offending cookie, so I blocked the sites in FF. Solid tools may be preferable. However, by way of clarification Hole On Solid functions in both Version 7 and Version 8, as Tak2hata adjusted the code. The tool will work on any grouped and closed volume. Feel free to show different.
