Thanks Bob, I installed the new Driver. Now it works in 2013. However, before I had to copy the new 3DxSketchUp.dll file from "Sketchup 8" into "Sketchup 2013". Charly

@chris fullmer said: Thanks for posting this. I've submitted the model and the materials as a bug to be fixed. It is the dark wood material that is actually causing the problem. Do you know anything about that jpg or how it was created? Chris Yes, you are right. That dark wood texture pic was downloaded from Internet. Then I screetshot part of it to use as surface texture in my model.

@mike lucey said: But again we are not captive in any way as the door is wide open to walk through if the desire is there. Is not just that simple... All of sketchUp users had some strong reasons to go with SketchUp in the first place. And most of us did this because SU is DIFFERENT, and by different I say easy to learn, easy to use, not cluttered ... so you can do your thing fast and easy, with no need of hundreds of toolbars, scrolling menus, buttons, extensive learning... and why not, a very nice interface... unconventional icons (why so serious?). And all this encouraged a "think out of the box" community... original people turned to it, not that generation of AutoCAD users that were so stiff. And also... neither the "3SD users", who are so "fancy and sophisticated" (ok, now I was mean, but I'm sure you understand my point). So, if SU will cease to be what it has been, I'm starting to think where it will go? Ok, you are saying that if I won't like it, I am free to go... And probably I will... to SU8 again . But that's not the point here. The point is that WE ARE A STRONG COMMUNITY and despite the fact that Trimble bought Sketchup, Sketchup is still ours. Without us, the users, Trimble may very well whash their hair with SU... so to speak. So, first of all, Trimble shall listen of what users want/need. Because, believe or not, the users know best (because they are using it). All we can hope is that Trimble will eventually understand this and will go in the right direction.

@alan fraser said: For what it's worth, I was trying out a roof-builder plugin a couple of months ago. It caused a bugsplat every time I tried to apply a material that had been added to my material libraries since its install. Want to name and shame the culprit - it's the only way to get it fixed for future releases...

Exactly ! It is a bit hard at first to snap the both midpoints intersect in the middle but the you'll get used to it. And regarding your guidelines, you just need to select the face before picking the rotate tool and then you can rotate the face without worrying about rotating the guidelines. Well.. you said it first !

So the only way is to use scale tool to match as much as you can . this is good enough for me. the more control over it the better but its what looks good - figure out how to make the bugger later!!! great c

@gaieus said: Best would be to install this plugin first (it's distributed as an rbz file so you can install it from Preferences > Extensions). Then everything is at your hand and you will never need to leave SU in order to find and install a plugin from SketchUcation. Read more... Thanks, that worked perfectly.... Andrew

@unknownuser said: Toolbars that stay in place and collapse as you re-size the application window...Yes finally! There is still a problem with not being able to save the toolbar positions. If you disable ruby scripts for testing, or any other reason, and then enable them, they all show up on your screen as floating windows. It sucks to have to remember where all of them went. It would be great to have the save toolbar position option available for this reason.
