Okay that is kind of what I ended up doing except instead of rotating the tubes I just rotated the box beneath them Then extruded both tubes, intersected them with the model and then erased the parts sticking up and the top surface of the box circumscribed by the circles. Viola I now have two holes in the box at the same correct angle. Sorry I didn't figure this out sooner from you guys examples but, I just couldn't connect the dots on this one. Thanks for all your help though. I will definitely remember this the next time I need an angled hole in a surface.

I thought the video was clear. For laying out use the tape tool and the protractor.

Thanks again TIG. I had a look at edges helper but I don't think there's anything there (at least that I can understand!). I posted http://stackoverflow.com/questions/43152833/sketchup-model-collada-three-js-no-edges. Maybe it's more a Threejs oriented question.

might be an issue with the OpenGL suppor of the used video driver... intel HD/Iris and AMD Radeons are known for this.... update the graphics card driver first and if e.g. a notebook with integrated and dedicated video system ensure that SU is running on the dedicated graphics card (see 3D options of graphics card control panel). You also may want to click on the "View Report Details..." of the Bug Splat application for evaluating the exact cause of the problem as e.g. an affected runtime library (DLL) denoted: [image: bugsplat-window.png]

The clue is in the message. When you downloaded the SketchUcation toolset you did so as a member of SCF, using your name and your login 'password'. When you first use the SCF toolset you should be prompted to enter that name and password [i.e. exactly matching what you've entered when joining SCF]. Assuming these match, they should then be stored on your computer, and thereafter it's reused so you won't be prompted unless you log-out of its dialog ! You only need to login and password once in the dialog. The dialog is not directly connected to SCF at that point. Assuming you use the same name and password... Thereafter it should no longer prompt you for log-in details...

Nope....that didn't work. I now have geo-locate mapped to " and it still pops up when I hit the space bar. Apparently from what i'm reading online this is a known problem with Mac. Somehow I inadvertently set the icon at the bottom left of the page so now I have to hit the tab bar 4x every time I open a project or start a new one. Ugh. Clem

JPP is the best one! Projections by Didier has also a push pull multiple but less sophisticated! PS I suppose that you have seen that : When you have made one JPP simple or multiple you have just to make a double click on the following surface one by one for have the same JPP! Look also Architect Tools by Thomthom for the DWG files inside SketchUp! It has functions for automatically create buildings from the DWG!

Can you orbit, pan or anything during this 10 seconds? Is the computer completely frozen (you can't exit SketchUp during this locked period?)

For close inspection zooming try switching perspective camera off. For zooming out far turn it on. I have an alt+p shortcut and am constantly switching between both.

Corona for Sketchup is dead... https://corona-renderer.com/blog/corona-renderer-for-cinema-4d-beta-1-released/ @unknownuser said: SketchUp plugin Let’s admit it, the last year was not that successful for our SketchUp plugin: we had two developers who came, did a small amount of work, and then left. For the past few months, there has been virtually no progress on the plugin. We also hit some roadblocks in development, which did not help. By the end of the year, we were faced with a tough decision on what to do with the plugin. Should we scrap it? Or maybe reboot the development from scratch? All the while, we had to evaluate if any of that made sense, especially now that our colleagues from ChaosGroup have released their strong V-Ray 3.6 plugin for SketchUp (please check it on CG’s website , it’s worth it!) Our conclusion was a tough one, but after a lot of soul-searching we have chosen to end development of the SketchUp plugin for good. We have decided that it makes most sense for us to focus all our efforts and manpower on the Cinema 4D plugin, which is really promising and very close to the finish line. I know that this kind of news is always hard to read – and even harder to write – but to be honest if we compare what V-Ray offers for SketchUp and what we have now, we have to be realistic and admit that they did a far better job than us. So, now we would rather focus our time and effort on the Cinema 4D plugin where we think we can offer more. I am sorry to those who we have disappointed with this move, but we sincerely think it is the best possible one.

I think the basic rule is you can't soften border edges. So yes you can soften all edges at once except those that are not border lines (in a way this includes edges with more than two faces) and never soften anyway. In your case if you don't want to clean up geometry, you could select all lines (with wire frame view) and then deselect the fringe lines of the table cloth, then hide remaining "border" edges. So avoid making overlays for just this result. But without the cleanup you'll never get good texture mapping anyway.

Hi Dave R & Filibis. Changed the textures and removed the trees and the file went from 259 to 192MB. As it was a model I built when I first started using SketchUp, I made some basic errors that's for sure following closer inspection. Some textures and model components were either too high for the resolution needed and too detailed for the final production. I think I was trying to include as much detail to provide quality to the model but in some areas was not required. Also, the terrain from the AutoCAD file was quite large and could easily have been reduced if I was building again. Many thanks for your help on this.

Andy, that would be me and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Cotty's got you set up with the link to the Wudworx tools. Good luck. BTW, check out the latest post on the Design. Click. Build. blog. I showed using the Wudworx Dovetail tool for cutting some dovetails.

Wow! Thanks so much pbacot! @pbacot said: P.S. It looks like your rib may have a third surface or a double ridge--though the 2d drawings don't look consistent on this. And the section view has a complex profile. I used the plan drawing for my approach, with a single ridge, but I think the same approach would work if you need that detail. Yes, there's a flat ridge at the top of the rib, the plan diagram does not show it well. There's a cut section of the rib showing the width of b and height h. Here's another bar profile with 3 ribs and actual bar (with different profiles here) found via online search. [image: 2-ribbed-bar.jpg] [image: aANxat0.png] Here's what I got playing around. The first is using your method, the second using Shapebender. [image: 4sOItLn.png]

It's pro only. It annoys me that generate report doesn't get area reports. Maybe I'm not getting it right, but I ditched it away since. Otherwise it's working rather well.
