Hi Roberto, The angle of the photo is too acute to take any kind of texture from. The nearest I could find to it on the Net, that was from a decent angle, was this flint wall in England. http://consult.north-norfolk.gov.uk/events/5619/images/web/594674_0_1.jpg I've made a tileable texture from the part on the right. If you are going to tile it across a large surface, I notice that there is a near vertical line of slightly darker stones..about 40% in from the left on the top edge. These are a bit noticeable if repeated too often. You might want to lighten them a little or clone some other stones over the top. [image: ddak_flint_wall.jpg]

Hey Alan thanks so much mate for the informations there! I'll definately try them out! I worked out a very simple way to run a texture up a trunk or branch using a few projections, which would have eased so much post work on a unfolded map - though each is exported to any render app as a separate material GRRR! I so much wish for the day SU supports better mapping options! Thanks again!

In fact, I should have painted the roof white now as you say. Using "simple" example components to display a style is indeed for not making them distracting.

Thanks for the replies. What I wanted was a line texture that would not result in objects i.e. closed rectangles. I had the notion that an image texture would be less resource hungry than a bunch thousands of lines. At any rate, I created it in AutoCad without allowing the ends to connect and imported. Will turn into jpg later. thanks again

Thanks, nice model A small point, the file size is pretty large, particularly if you intend using plenty of these in your model! You could have drastically reduced the file size by making a component out of an individual leaf, then stretching/scaling copies to make the diferent variations required, similarly with the branches. On like models I have seen the file size reduced by 90% or more.
