    • Flattery plug in problem

      Hi
      I downloaded the Flattery folder and the flattery rb. Both appear in the plug ins file, but in SU, the plug in is not listed. When I extracted the file in Win Zip, I did not extract the file named MACOSX thinking that that is a Mac file into the plug ins foler. But the other files I did. Is that related to the problem of not seeing it listed in plug ins in SU?

      The Ruby Script Depot has some scripts in text form on its web page, not in the usual .rb download form. How do I translate the text in to a an .rb that I can load into the plug in folder. I did a cut and paste of the script into Notepad, but that didn't seem to work. Thanks

      Hi
      Reading thru the forum, there seems to be for me a lot of great threads that I would like to read again or save. Is there a way to save threads online in my answered posts (for example) where I could organise them according to topic. Or do I have to copy and paste offline? Thanks

      Hi Thanks for the explanations. However in my experimentation with the answers, unsticking the line seemed to work with this process: Selected the line > selected the move/copy tool > selected the end point of the line with it > then pressed the control key to move/copy. Pressing the move/copy tool while pressing control key only kept the stickiness. I have version 7.1 Does this process seem correct? Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

      Hi
      I connected a line from the endpoint of one rectangle to the endpoint of another rectangle. Now I would like to copy and move the line (to match its angle). But the line is stuck to the ends of each of the rectangles and everything moves. How do I dis-rectangle the line? Thanks

    • Plug In - Copy to Path troubles

      Hi
      Everytime I scale a component down, and then try use Copy to Path > Copy to Spacing, what get's copied is the component at its original insertion size, and the scaled down version remains untouched. Is there something I am doing wrong?

      I had the old SU 6 and downloaded from the SU pages some .exe files of component libraries - archiecture, landscape, film, transportation, etc.

      I never opened them, so now that I have SU 7, want to start working with them.

      When I hit one of the exe files, it asks where I want to install the components, so I have 2 questions:

      1. Are they still usable and can I install them in library folders in a drive separate from where SU 7 is located. (D vs C)

      2. How do I then access these libraries from SU 7's component dialogue box?

    • Sketchup 6 Advanced Lessons

      HI
      I have Sketchup 6 Pro, and from an earlier version, I have the Sketchup 5 Book by Roskes which I have gone thru all the lessons.
      I am considering purchasing the Sketchup 6 Advanced Book, but on looking at some of the excerpts, it seems similar to a lot of Sketchup 5 lessons.
      So my question is it worth it to plunk down $63 for this book?
