    • Flattery plug in problem

      Hi
I downloaded the Flattery folder and the flattery rb. Both appear in the plug ins file, but in SU, the plug in is not listed. When I extracted the file in Win Zip, I did not extract the file named MACOSX thinking that that is a Mac file into the plug ins foler. But the other files I did. Is that related to the problem of not seeing it listed in plug ins in SU?

      Thanks

    • RE: Ruby script

Of course, "save as"! Such a simple resolution. I do it all the time, I can't believe it never occurred to me to try it. Thanks again for a great forum.

    • Ruby script

      HI
The Ruby Script Depot has some scripts in text form on its web page, not in the usual .rb download form. How do I translate the text in to a an .rb that I can load into the plug in folder. I did a cut and paste of the script into Notepad, but that didn't seem to work. Thanks

    • Saving sketchup threads

      Hi
Reading thru the forum, there seems to be for me a lot of great threads that I would like to read again or save. Is there a way to save threads online in my answered posts (for example) where I could organise them according to topic. Or do I have to copy and paste offline? Thanks

    • RE: Sticky lines

Hi Thanks for the explanations. However in my experimentation with the answers, unsticking the line seemed to work with this process: Selected the line > selected the move/copy tool > selected the end point of the line with it > then pressed the control key to move/copy. Pressing the move/copy tool while pressing control key only kept the stickiness. I have version 7.1 Does this process seem correct? Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

    • Sticky lines

      Hi
I connected a line from the endpoint of one rectangle to the endpoint of another rectangle. Now I would like to copy and move the line (to match its angle). But the line is stuck to the ends of each of the rectangles and everything moves. How do I dis-rectangle the line? Thanks

    • Plug In - Copy to Path troubles

      Hi
Everytime I scale a component down, and then try use Copy to Path > Copy to Spacing, what get's copied is the component at its original insertion size, and the scaled down version remains untouched. Is there something I am doing wrong?
      Thanks

    • Component LIbrary

      Hi
I had the old SU 6 and downloaded from the SU pages some .exe files of component libraries - archiecture, landscape, film, transportation, etc.

I never opened them, so now that I have SU 7, want to start working with them.

When I hit one of the exe files, it asks where I want to install the components, so I have 2 questions:

      1. Are they still usable and can I install them in library folders in a drive separate from where SU 7 is located. (D vs C)

      2. How do I then access these libraries from SU 7's component dialogue box?

      Thanks

    • Sketchup 6 Advanced Lessons

      HI
I have Sketchup 6 Pro, and from an earlier version, I have the Sketchup 5 Book by Roskes which I have gone thru all the lessons.
I am considering purchasing the Sketchup 6 Advanced Book, but on looking at some of the excerpts, it seems similar to a lot of Sketchup 5 lessons.
So my question is it worth it to plunk down $63 for this book?

      Thanks
