Happy to help. I guess if you're used to moving the extension line offsets together it can be a surprise but I think the benefits of the way dimensions work now outweigh the downside of being able to adjust them individually and maintain the association to the SketchUp model.

This is a known issue and Trimble is working on it. There are a couple of workarounds that can mitigate this somewhat. Keeping viewports square seems to help. What do you mean they finally fixed it? It's worked that way all along.

I checked. I have no problem copying and pasting a SU model reference to another page or another document. I just did a copy and paste of a pdf as well! I have to research and see why I was not able before--or exactly what I was trying to do. Maybe it was due to an upgrade.

All you should have to do is Update the Reference in LO (once you've saved the latest changes in SU). Copy and past from SU to LO is not needed for model references.

Thank you cotty, I have found that the fire wall had blocked access to web for layout, and therefore the programm could not start. It is the same result with SU Merci beaucoup Marc

A workaround is to explode the dimension, but then of course it is un-editable. Edit: Actually just realized that it is still editable but as separate entities.

Hi Marc- Sorry for not responding earlier. I'd be curious to get a copy of your corrupt file, along with a description of what you may have been doing just before the problem occurred. At the moment we don't have any known issues that would lead to a corrupt file. Thanks, Marc

Hi- That definitely sounds like a bug in LayOut. You may be able to reduce your exposure to the issue by regularly manually saving the file to a backup file name, but that's an annoyance that shouldn't be necessary. I'd be very interested to get a copy of your corrupt file, especially if you've found a way to reliably reproduce the problem. Also, for faster response from the SketchUp team I'd recommend posting in the official SketchUp forum (forums.sketchup.com). Except during a release, I tend to only have the time to read SketchUcation a few times a month. Thanks, Marc

Cant seem to replicate the problem in a new file!?! It persists in the file I had the original issue with so it must be something to do with working on an older file. Think I'll have to reload the SU file and replace the views that are in there at the moment. Thanks anyway. Sam

Hi everyone.. i had the same problem too with my previous layout. back then i used LO in bundle with SU8. it keeps crashing/ bugsplat at startup everytime. so i decided to reinstall LO.... not working. I try the LO2013 series... still not working. Then i try the last option....reinstall windows. it works... i had no trouble again. wish that my solutions comes any help.... (sorry for my english)
