Copy pdf image
-
In LayOut 2015 one may copy an inserted pdf and paste into another LayOut document. in 2016 one may not. The problem may be in the "copy" since, I can copy a pdf in LO 2015 and paste it in LO 2016.
I use this process regularly because: unless your page size is way larger than the inserted pdf, LO will reduce the size of the pdf. I insert images into a 5' square (page size) document and then copy that into a regular size document.
Pasting (from 2015) into 2016 has the same effect as inserting. The image is arbitrarily reduced. This means I will not be able to insert pdf files at the correct size in 2016.
In one case the app was already broken. Now the workaround is also broken.

Know this is old, but I have the same problem or worse: I can't even copy/paste SU models. The only way around is to insert the SU model using File>Insert, then redo the scene. This is a show stopper bug, surprised this wasn't caught. I'm also on OSX (El Cap), SU Pro v16.

I am not referring to SU models but pdfs. I'll look at what you are trying to do. I haven't noticed a problem there, and think this is a common technique.

I checked. I have no problem copying and pasting a SU model reference to another page or another document.
I just did a copy and paste of a pdf as well! I have to research and see why I was not able before--or exactly what I was trying to do. Maybe it was due to an upgrade.
