Layout 2016 issues in Mac OS Yosemite

Layout 2016 is splatting everytime I try to open an older version file. I am using OS Yosemite and I have reported the issue. In the meantime I am sticking to 2015.

Ironically they've discontinued Mountain Lion support--prompting users to upgrade to Yosemite or El Capitan, if they haven't yet. Wonder if anyone is having issues with the latter.

I don't think I've heard anything about this yet - how did you report the issue? If it's on forums.sketchup.com, can you share a link and I'll take a look.
