Undo icon disappeared from Standard toolbar
I was using undo, multiple times in a row, and suddenly the icon vanished from the standard toolbar...guess it was tired of being pushed so much.
No toolbar modification I can find like in Layout where I can just add the icon/function back into the toolbar that I can see.
Anyone have a solution as to how I get the undo function back into the standard toolbar?

RE: Wishlist for SketchUp 2018
One thing I would definitely like to see is the ability to control the width of the fill in 'filled' dimension text in Layout, or to at least make the fill boundary closer to the length of the occupied text...perhaps extending beyond the ends of the dimension text by the same amount that the fill adds above and below the text, or slightly less even. Currently the fill boundary is superfluously extended beyond the ends of the dimension text, creating unnecessary blocking/overlapping of items in close proximity.

Plugin toolbar icon scaling issue in 2016
I use a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro laptop now and then for Sketchup when I am traveling. The screen resolution defaults to 3200 X 1800, and with Windows 10, the recommended display scaling is 250%. At these settings, with Sketchup 2015, ALL icons scale equally, both native toolbar icons and plugin toolbar icons...they are small, but legible.
With Sketchup 2016, at the same resolution and display scaling, the native toolbar icons scale up nicely to a more reasonable size, however, the plugin toolbar icons are impossibly small. I've tried every combination of display resolution and display scaling I can think of and nothing gives me a congruent relationship between the native toolbar icons and the plugin toolbar icons.
I can report that there are two plugin toolbar icons I have that scale similarly to the native ones in 2016, and those are: Compo Spray, and BG_Sketchup Comments...I'm not sure what is in the coding of these plugins that causes the icons to scale correctly, but they do.
Any ideas on how to scale up the plugin toolbar icons?
While 2016 native toobar icon scaling is much better than 2015, the plugin toolbar icon scaling is definitely not. -
Snap icon not toggling properly in Layout 2016
Not sure what is going on here, but toggling of snap icon added to toolbar is not functioning as expected in Layout 2016. I place the snap icon as a button on my main toolbar, it normally toggles from the larger red horseshoe magnet (on) to the smaller greyscaled version (off).
Currently, if the icon is red (on) and I click on it, nothing happens, but as soon as I choose the 'arrange' tab on the main menu the icon immediately switches properly to the off position. This works the same way if the icon is originally showing the greyscaled (off) representation and I try and toggle it on, nothing switches until the 'arrange' tab is selected.
If I try and go through the arrange tab, and choose to toggle snap on or off in the menu drop down, again the snap icon on the tool bar does nothing until I select the 'arrange' tab once more. Somethin' ain't right.

Permissions issue
We've used Layout successfully for years, this morning we've developed an issue where all layout files on our server announce that we do not have sufficient permissions when attempting to save. This is not happening with any other file type, only layout files. We've unloaded and re-loaded sketchup to no avail, checked all of the permissions settings, etc, etc. so weird. Any ideas?

RE: .skp file not updated on save
I figured it out, and this may or may not apply to other Windows 8.1 users. If you use file preview in Windows explorer, then the .skp thumbnail seems to get locked in the process, Windows does not release it. When I tried to delete the accumulating .skb files, Explorer warned me that the files were open in COM surrogate, some kind of thumbnail jailhouse, since Explorer apparently does not trust thumbnailer code?? By simply turning off the file preview in Explorer, the .skb files could be deleted.
I also turned off the file preview in Explorer, when trying to insert a file into Layout, this seems to be a different process, as turning the preview off in Windows directly did not affect the Explorer file preview set-up when loaded by Layout. Not sure if there was a 'grab and hold' happening there also, but now all is well.

.skp file not updated on save
I have a file that refuses to update the .skp file on saving. What I do get is progressive .skb files, 01, 02, etc. in windows explorer, but the .skp file does not update, the time stamp remains the same. If I exit Sketchup, and then re-enter, when attempting to open the file I get a message that the file is locked by another user...there are no other users. My only choice is to reboot.
I tried making a new .skp file, then copying all of the entities from the misbehaving .skp file into the new .skp file, but the glitch comes over with the copy.
Any ideas?

RE: Layer Control
You need to change one line of code at the end of some of Didier's scripts to work with 2014 and 2015, unfortunately I don't remember what that small change was. Message Tig, I think he suggested the easy fix.

RE: Layer Control
Use Didier's Layer Manager, there is an icon "hide layers of selection" in the toobar...I use it all the time.
