Have you searched the Sketchucation Extensions Index, or Ruby Library Depot, or Smustard? There are other sources out there, I just can't name them. Others may know and hopefully will respond.

Hello, Ok i will write the plugin by myself as it is not complicated. I'm reading the Automatic Sketchup book. The author is a real brain! Nice book, the use of ruby for sketchup reminds me the use of skill for cadence. I was asking for a plugin because i though i had to create transformation matrix and so on (needing a lot of mathematics), but it won't be the case.

Encrypting a .rb file into a .rbs won't make a noticeable speed increase - it is simply away of protecting your algorithms etc. If you want a significant speed increase you need to go to the SDK and that means C++ etc...

Tig, and Jim, Thanks for the tips, good to know. Funny thing with one of my menus, because one selection is a little bigger then the rest, I am able to get 2 1/2 columns too:-)

Has anyone played with this Google Su Web viewer? Will/does the SUcation forum support showing this in a post? Go Here and open download for example. You may have to refresh your display to get the download panel.

if you don't make a rotation and shadows, maybe you can make a move a long a perpendical path to the observer Result will be the same Else I don't believe you can animate the "size" between 2 scenes Object will make first the move from scene 1 to scene 2 (movment of the same apparent new position resized) then make the "size" so that is hurting I am curious of the Jeff operation

@unknownuser said: or also why not : always right or left at each fork! i could see that working out in certain cases but it could also lead to bad selections.. i dunno, i think the key would be making it very quick to call up.. ie- no dialog boxes etc.. maybe a settings dialog or something if deemed necessary.. standard select is spacebar and i'd try to set this one to shift-spacebar.. i'm pretty sure i, and a lot of other people, would use it quite a bit..

@unknownuser said: For the still-ruby-challenged,... Start with Chapter 11 and continue through Chapter 17. You'll become Ruby-literate. It's not hard. @unknownuser said: what about using q to do rotations in an arbitrary direction not defined by the planes? All my rotate stuff allows you to specify a plane ('rg', 'rb' or 'gb') or an axis. See my Leaning Tower of Pisa in the doc. @unknownuser said: I've got an existing model with several groups that need to move around in a related, but not quite identical, way. That's where ruby literacy has to come in. Alternatively, some brilliant insight that shows me how to create a generic solution to things that move in a related but non-identical way. Brilliant insights are always welcome. Martin

hi guys, Have some fun with this (the window tool that cuts opening and place the window into walls) This is of course really really early draft... Just place the win01.rbs file into the Plugins folder. I have plan to add a lot for options, and types of windows, doors into this window tool (very early preliminary 1st draft)

Here is the best one I know of. thanks for the help. i've got cutlist plugin installed. i'll have to read up more on it at the link you gave because it doesn't do what they show, on my mac. the lumberjocks forum doesn't date stamp their posts so don't have any idea how old their info is. it would be nice to get the BOM working!

Know what you mean They confuse me too - and I made them The Extrusion Tools just grew like Topsy and 'EEbyXXX' originally seemed a 'sensible' naming convention until it gets too complicated...
