There are actually 2 'numbers' - the page name is automatically generated when the pages are created / duplicated. The page number is a numeric variable that stays consistent with how many pages you have. You can change the page name to anything you want. The page # stays what it is, and will update if you change the order of the pages. To make use of this check out the new auto text features - there are tags for both page # and page name. Got lucky!!

This issue is nearly impossible for us to re-create from scratch. You mentioned that is has been occurring for some time for you. Do you recall the earliest version of LayOut you saw it on? Then Ctrl-V to paste the copy over the white one. More often, when I need those lines, they are drawn in temporarily in SU. Though this is an older post and I am wondering if a solution has been found. This is an issue for me also when creating architectural drawings that are geo-located, and wishing to dimension them in Layout, My current work around is the following workflow Geo-Location -> Add Location Measure angular offset (A) of a dominant axis of the building floorplan (as seen in the Google Earth Satelite Image) from the Sketchup default Y-Axis Make a copy of the Geo-Location Images, and rotate these by the negative angle from previous step (-A). These can now be used for tracing the floorplan etc Adjust Solar north by an angle of (-A) Now I can get orthographic dimensions in layout for the standard views ( but not for any aligned views unfortunately) Solar North will be correct, as will be Latitude and Longitude. Drawbacks are the hassle of this workaround and the fact that I am only to get orthographic dimensions from the standard 6 views, whereas elevations offset from these are quite common. See below for a simplified example showing the problem. The red box has been drawn with the axis at default orientation, the green box was drawn with axes rotated 30degrees from the standard axis orientation. The first view is a standard front view using parallel projection, and all orthographic dimensions are correct. The second view has been aligned to the green front face, and is also a parallel projection. This view also has Ortho activated in the model settings in layout. How about hiding the edges at the seam line and any faces in that seam in each group in SketchUp? Then you don't need to worry about creating a mask in LO. I do this sort of thing frequently to disguise that there are two separate components next to each other. I did that on this chair, for example. [image: oWEI_BarrelChair.png]

On Mac I can insert PDF OK, I can manual resize OK, but can't check box to Preserve Scale on Resize once I've got it right. Or uncheck Ortho. Is there a workaround that does not involve getting PDF scaled to suit before insert?

David, if your shape is rectangular and only one side to be remove there is no issue. However if you draw a rectangle and assume you wanted opposing edges to be deleted (so slice on all corners) the fill will fail.

If this is happening after unlinking and embedding --could be a bug. but maybe it's too late and you are embedding the altered version of the SU file. So you've lost the old version?

At certain zoom levels it get wiggly for me. at others not. On a MBP, Preview. And it changes if I put in on another monitor. I think you see better results on a Retina display, but few people have those--and good printing is important.

Hi guys...Thanks for heads up though. Dave, Please i use sketchup for all my drawings and seem to have my way around all issues and produce very good works that people think its Cad. However i dimension from wall to wall. That's fine as its very precise but i want to know how i can dimension center to center too. I sometimes create grid lines centers of all my walls and group them then, before i pull them up, save as a scene on different layers. it works fine but any changes after extrusion i.e pull up creates another problem and i go bak to dimension wall to wall. i wish to ask if there is a go around or easy approach to center to center dimension of walls in layout. With columns is easy because you have them distinct members but walls run through and picking center to center in Layout is not easy at all. Hope to get some trick from u guys. I have the same issues with LO 2015 (and 2013 /2014). Located the folders, nothing in there. I'm on a Mac running Yosemite if that makes any difference.

If you haven't had the problem with other files, I would start removing the references in the problem LO file to see if it's one of them.

Thanks, I was thinking something along these lines. Funny is, that it is my integrated graphic card even though i have another nvidia card. I probalby need to change the priority or renstal drivers for both of them. It good to now that, problem is on my side and i can focus on fixing it. D.
