you can save multiple images and use 'photomerge' in photoshop to stitch them together automatically. it may not solve your resolution problem but it works great for large sites. here is a video tutorial, quite a funny photoshop series. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2u_yn-eYhg

does it mention the recent discovery of how they may have moved the blocks? in one of the tombs they found these strange half circle wooden blocks. they found you could strap them to a stone block...making it into a cylinder. forget dragging it.. roll it... wish I could find a link about it.. ah from Wiki "Dr R H G Parry[3] has suggested a method for rolling the stones, using a cradle-like machine that had been excavated in various new kingdom temples. Four of those objects could be fitted around a block so it could be rolled easily. Experiments done by the Obayashi Corporation, with concrete blocks 0.8 m square by 1.6 m long and weighing 2.5 tons, showed how 18 men could drag the block over a 1-in-4 incline ramp, at a rate of 18 meters per minute. Vitruvius in De architectura[4] described a similar method for moving irregular weights. It is still not known whether the Egyptians used this method but the experiments indicate it could have worked using stones of this size. Egyptologists generally accept this for the 2.5 ton blocks mostly used but do not agree over the methods used for the 15+ ton and several 70-ton blocks."

Wow, the gauge cluster is a very efficient design. For some reason it seems quite unique that the speedometer is on the right. Goldenfrog

Your original statement is on the same page. @robmoors said: Okay once you know what it's called it's easy to fix. Hi Rob, Glad you found your answer. When I started reading the thread I was thinking "He needs to know that it's called a 'ligature'" and fortunately I kept reading and found out that you had found out. The reason it's in one font and not another is up to the font designers. If a designer takes the time and trouble to design a ligature, it will be there in the font, and if not, not. There are also fonts that have "swash" capitals in addition to normal capitals. The most commonly used ligatures are f-i, f-f, and f-f-i in Times and Times-like fonts. In the f-i and f-f ligature, the "ball" at the top of the 'f' merges with the dot on the 'i' and in the f-f forms the crossbars on the 'f's merge, so the f-f-i has two things going on. That Calibri c-k ligature is unusual and is more "swash" than most ligatures which are about readabily and compactness. In this case, the c-k does not improve readability nor does it take up less space, but it would go well with "swash" capitals. It certainly should not be there automatically in body type. Swash can be pretentious, but there are times when that is what you want. I hope this helps, August

@chris fullmer said: Why not just tell them to come use the forum for questions. Is there really a need to differentiate them from any other beginner who comes and visits? Hi chris, dylan the only thing I am trying to achieve is to keep track of my students, I agree that differentation is not necessary or desirable. And i certainly want them to have the advantage of all the members knowledge here. Csaba has set up a ug for me, I'll see how that goes. I'm still thinking that just starting a thread might be the simplist solution. baz

That's kind of old actually. I remember however when I was almost busted at the Three Sisters Islands when I walked into the river and the cops thought I was going to jump off the Falls. (Who would1ve done such a stupid thing? It was freezing cold and snow and ice everywhere!)
