What app will make an interactive 3D model?
-
I have a friend who is selling a product (a hockey stick line) and wants to put a rotating 3D model of it on his website, preferably an interactive model. I know I can render a rotating animation of it, but how can I make it interactive(zoom, pan, rotate)? Is this something Flash can do?
This video shows an example of what I want to do at 3:26. (I don't need it Ipad-compatible, just the interactive 3D model)

I found this recently, maybe it's an option?

Thanks for the replies...Pilou, the 3D PDF looks promising as well as the Flash panorama from honoluludesktop's link. Germanium is a good app but not quite photo-realistic enough. If anyone else has ideas, I'd love to hear them.
Thanks

Simlab composer create 3D PDF so you can examine your 3D object on line!
Try with this shoe

How about something like the SU Web Exporter plugin?
It will not make PR exports however but if there could be a related plugin that makes the SU scenes, you could render those scenes and replace the images exported for the javascrip viewer. With the Flash panorama, your problem is that the camera is "inside" the scene while in your example you need something from "outside" - i.e. not moving the camera around but the object itself.
For panoramas "from inside" there are a lot of good ways to export SU models. Here are two (humble) examples with my limited rendering abilities:

Ooh yeah, the SU Web Exporter plugin might just work...I can substitute a sequence of rendered pictures for the ones exported by the plugin. Thanks, Gaieus!

Also, as it is javascript, should be totally cross-platform and cross-browser (unless one disables javascript in his browser but then anything, even flash can be disabled)

There's also Wire Fusion, they have a free version and a 30 day trial of the professional package.
