Why not start a thread here if you have something you want to add? Copy the original notes into quotes then add your own recollection.

True. I even have a 16-y-o niece. I'll pass the video to her parents.

There wasn't any official video done during the sessions so I expect that might be it.

@chris fullmer said: Sounds interesting. I lost a lot of faith in Maxwell after they messed up their original beta soooo badly. I half expect them to look for every cool feature of this new software and then tweak it before public release so it no longer works as desired. Chris, mate I can certainly support what you are saying about the earliest beta's being a bit of a mess up! But I guess we need to stay mindful they were then heading into unchartered waters then with unbiased rendering! No other unbiased render engines existed, no proper ruby support for SU, also given the new comers aiming to emulate their model are yet to produce the same image quality or for that matter meet their promised deadlines by almost a year one has to have some sympathies and given support for their breaking new ground. I'd suggest even the new comers would not be so advanced with apsects like re-lighting and a stack of other features had they not headed the way. And I'd suggest with this new plugin further development in the competition will follow in an attempt to keep pace and again somewhat aim to emulate!

Oli Must be frustrating to know your car would still be fine if you'd only saw James' tutorial sooner (Sorry couldn't resist. My apologies if I hurt your feelings. But must say I'm glad you got out OK) Flapsy

@solo said: I like the idea, I think this could be a great solution for our future power requirements. I'm just concerned about driving on glass on a rainy/snowy/icy day however. Hey Pete, recycled glass is already used as aggregate in some road toppings anyway!

@pbacot said: Nokia is raising the bar it seems. Not only do phones now need to have a camera but a GOOD camera and myriad of other uses. I have the original, or late original iPhone. I usually don't use it for anything but occasionally as a phone, but check email when away for a few days. But if phones are supposed to do everything, I'll want one that will brush my teeth and comb my hair for me. That would would be a REAL phone IMO. For me a twin bell alarm clock and a shaver too btw there seems to be some new Nokia models released just now [1] and [2], but they camera might not be as good as in N8 ('just' 8 magapixels).

The problem is that the small consumer would not generally be in a position to challenge the lower court decision, and ignoring it would not be a good idea.

Possibly already commented on in some of the above links- I didn't check- would be to look at Leica line of Disto Laser Distance Meters. Not inexpensive, but highly accurate.
