AdBlock detected ?!

LOL. I thought that was my work's internet filter getting confused! SCF is one of the few sites that survived a recent crackdown on internet usage. I'd love to say it's because the information here is so valuable (which is absolutely is), but I think it was more of a fluke with our filtering software. Don't tell.

Yeah, just happened this morning and now I get an error message when trying to view any YouTube videos...its frustrating...I thought it was just my PC but glad its being worked on

I saw it too and thought that I found out why my wireless access point connection drops out and this forum tells me I am not allowed to view pages.
Our router/ firewall uses Webblocker- not the same thing, but I wasn't paying attention. However, this "Adblock detected" does cause a delay. And prior to this, I see all of the banner ads.
But in the last couple of days I have seen a few of those ads that show up as postings in the threads. -

Presumably you mean youtube vids embedded in SCF? If so i dont think its related, so the proble is probably somewhere else. I'll let TBD know.

I cannot view any Youtube videos in Mozilla (4 Beta), but they work fine in IE. It probably is a coincidence, but it happened the same time as "Adblock detected" showed up here. I've never had the Mozilla Adblock addon installed, if that makes a difference.
Same problem discussed here, but no suitable answer was found: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/youtube/thread?tid=1ee212c2717fee6b&hl=en
I have cleared my Sketchucation cookies and reinstalled the Flash player, that didn't help either. -
Probably just a coincidence as you say. I cant think how something on a single site could stop youtube vids working on all other sites.

d12dozr: it has nothing to do with AdBlock detected message. go back to Firefox 3.6, make sure you have Flash installed properly and your network connection works ok.

Thanks guys, I'll try that

deleting youtube cookies solved the problem
