The Singer developed Porsche 911 Circa 1980.

Not set all parameters yet, slowly etc.

    Thanks cheffey.

Mainly trial + error, to be honest. I've found a lot of good inspiration here to: http://www.conceptart.org

tom- i've had a lot of luck controlling the intensity of some of the squiggle/wet process with this technique,

I will export one stylized jpg and one "clean" jpg (very simple lines/colors), and layer them in photoshop with with clean jpg underneath. Then you can either use a mask on the stylized layer to slowly reveal cleaner areas where you want them, or you can carefully erase the top layer (but you cannot reverse your work this way) you can use different opacities in your erasing as well

I've used it here to tone down the jitter on the business man component, but this works great with the other effects as well- if you need to tone down the watery effect in certain areas of detail just layer an unadjusted sketchup output with no lines underneath and reveal it where you want it. Usually I will not reveal it 100% to keep some stylized look in the area

The only crit I have with your render is the obvious tiling of the stone texture on the back wall. Apart from that, I think your image is superb, congrats! ๐Ÿ‘

    Nomer,

I love it. Good work. You achieved a very nice, almost non-photo real look. I especially love the first one.

thanks EM. im a bit cxonfused, seems my new LCD montitor is too bright, when i openned this file with another computer, they are too dark. i looked for the adobe gamma to calibrate it but unfortunately its not in the CS3 package. went to adobe site and downloaded it from there. but now the problem i am use too with monitor and now im knsa confused with the brightness. i corrected the levels using PS. what do you think

Yes Bubba that exactly what I meant ๐Ÿ˜„

This last one seems darker than the others to me. There is an odd thing going on around the top edge of the room. Almost like a light source ir something. Just looks a bit out of place.

I would say work on lighting the room brighter. What you can do is set up to area lights, both with "ignore normals" OFF. Both should be about 24-30" from the edge of the ceiling. Place one just below the track lighting shining down with shadows on. Place the other 1" below that shining up with shadows OFF. both are to be placed "Invisible" these can be carefully tweaked as to not over power or take away from the affect of the track lights. This will give you more control over the lighting in the room.

ps: the umbrella in the first image looks like a UFO if you look at it at thumbnail size ๐Ÿ˜„

    Thanks Ross,

The budget for this shop is "as cheap as possible". 'Makuti' thatch is made from coconut palm leaves and is as cheap as roof coverings come here. The whole construction should cost approx US$4,000.

The charity is called Love Shack as it cares for Sick, Homeless and Abandoned Children in Kenya.
The large sign on the wall is maybe not such a great idea, looking at it now I see what you mean about a sex shop. Don't want to get gimps and doggers in there do we? A small subtle sign by the door should suffice.

I'll be sure to post the pics when the building is done.

    Cheers,

    Ed

    Hi Modelhead,

Im kinda familiar with your name, didnt you just had an avatar or picture of a rear baldman's head?

Well this is my family and thank you for your comment. I just have to crop it so it could fit in the requirement of the being sqaure. Thats my wife and my baby girl, the big one is my niece and the one cropped is suppose to be my nephew.

I like that picture so much, we were playing around with my brand new laptop back then.

I like warm families. Thats the reason I dont work on saturdays. Saturdays are for family (or friends, relatives or sometimes just spending time for yourself), Sundays are resting & reflections, so Im fueled for the incoming weekdays again.

I dont encourage this to everyone, im still a workaholic but Id like to suppress that "holic" thing just up to friday 11:59pm. Its not perfect because there are times that I have to work extra hard for the weekends for a presentation and deadlines......

Try it for a week or two....then see for yourself....
but like I said also, its not for everyone....

and f.y.i., the picture was taken on a saturday evening while were watching a disney movie.

    happy weekends.

    Tesmeko

please have a comment or two on my render. I badly need assistance. I cant show these to my clients.

What is the floor material on the last 2 renderings? It looks like asphalt... or maybe it's just my screen. They also look really 'sharp' as if you didn't use anti-aliasing to give it a softer appearance...

Discovered the "walkthrough animation" in Kerkythea yesterday.
This is my first animation test. Scene has 481 frames, rendertime about 9 hours.

    Kerkythea is great! ๐Ÿ‘
