Tama ang ginawa mo at pinalitan mo ang titulo ng post mo, but you took my criticism the wrong way which is very unfortunate. Goodluck and I still think your work is superb but I'll avoid Lens flare too much, it's very 1988.... cheers, gianx

Very nice! I would probobly have used a luminescence map (or transparency map with a luminescent surface above, which would considerably lower file size as the ceiling is so curved).

nice...that first one is very cool. diamonds are definitley blinging in all of them...care to share that first HDRI? i've added a bunch of individual emitters to my scene and i think the diamonds are picking up the light much better. [image: bachain4qv8.th.jpg]

Pete, Yeah, we are feeling the hurt from the economy as well. Hope things get back to normal soon. You should check out this plugin for Mental Ray - http://www.3dtotal.com/services/pluggins/bluecherry_shop.asp It turns Mental Ray into Podium. ....and it's only $15.

This is an excellent idea... Back in May 2008, I posted the Designed in SU thread, where you can see some renders as well as some real photoes... Another project I've been working on is the house where my parents in law live... [image: LgN6_Nybrogaard-2008-1-bloom.jpg] [image: Vp9t_Nybrogaard-2008-3-bloom.jpg]

and I always associated Vue with landscape renders (and little more than that). Solo, you proved me otherwise and my urge to get a grip on this software rises once more. didn't you want to create some tuts at some point? the render really looks delicious. Shit, I feel like drinking a litres of coke now!

Thanks Jakob! I really like the way you have so much control over the Vray sun in Max. It's easy to invoke a nice warm feeling.

i've re-rendered the model adding a few more elements and as usual trying my hand at something new .....this time its clip mapping .....i saw tutorials about how to do it in podium and after days of searching , i finally found a tutorial for clip mapping in vray for SU........so i went ahead and added trees and those wild grass like plants in the planters ......quite happy with the results (notice the shadows).....although still struggling with the grass texture (it looks fake) ....anyone knows how to fix that..?. and please let me know ..where can i find good grass textures? i also added the garden units ...but the model isnt complete yet.....on more unit to go...and furniture also need to add some landscape elements....actually still need to design the landscape... and need to work on how make the finishes look better.... thanks guys .......let me know what you think....... Jason, Your little image is about the only thing to warm this Scrooge's cockles (the heart kind) this year. Did you know there's a Lego Bible? [image: _45243297_lastsupper_466.jpg] Merry Christmas, Peter
