Something I am looking at for a wall, is a dragon 'breaking through. the wall with a light source insert in the chest. Just mucking about tbh.

First, I would go to this link and go through the basic training of learning after effects. http://www.videocopilot.net/basic/ Because, if you dont, then you may not know what I am going to explain. But what you need to do is create a new composition and then import all your scenes into the project, but make sure when you do that, that you import them as a sequence (there should be a little check box for this when look to find your files for the import). Then you need to drag this from your project panel to your composition. After you do that, you need to render/export your animation. I typically use quicktime movies. Like I said, watch the training, because that will definately explain this more clearly than I can. If there is anyhthing else I can help with, just let me know.

Adam, these last two are winners. Might want to add a backdrop of sorts on the first one. Nice pool! Don't see many around these parts.

Thanks guys! Adam, Notreal, David, Ross. I was probably reading too much into things what with the lack of work, winter and perhaps a touch of cabin fever and all. David, yesterday I couldn't get "Little Wing" out of my mind. Adam, the neck transitions is basically a squared of proxy for SDS. I generally start with one profile and then use the same profile scaled accordingly. Took some tweaking and nudging to get it right from the neck to the headstock. What I do is try to visualize what the neck would look like reduced to the flat planes that would make up the curves. I'll try and post either some images or skp of that. Thanks!

Thanks for the comments guys. I get what your saying about the background and perspective of the building. There was always something that I couldn't put my finger on. Andy, believe it or not that house sits right up against that hill. I looked through my stash of pictures to post but I couldn't find the one that showed how it sat right at the foot of the red hill. I could only find the shot of the back. Maybe I didn't actually take one from the perspective I used.... [image: 72ll_SRD-2009-007.png]

Yes, I have a license. Great modeling toolset! The renderer isn't bad, far from it, just not as good as Vray. A lot fiddlier, too, in my opinion. Luxology's got a really interesting product, though. I'm quite curious to see what 401'll bring. It better be 64 bit.

come on...there's a drumset and some amps! thats got to give it away here is an update with white painted brick... the other brick was really cool...buuut, since this is for a zoning hearing, the architect doesnt want it to look 'too' raw even though it probalby really will be... and trying some more realistic people, what do you think about them? (yes, some odd placements....threw them in too quickly) [image: 1750nfrontgroundrev3012ou5.th.jpg]

Also, when you are producing straight SU output, don't hide the lines as SU won't do very good in interiors without advanced lighting settings. @plzshowcasethis00 said: ...does anyone know how to delete this thread? No need to do that, my friend. These are nice WIP images and you - as well as others - can learn a lot from the topic.

Thanks for the feedback. I have to admit that these were all accurate suggestions so I tried to edit the image a little more. Hope it looks a lil better? [image: 3209434543_cc8c07b5d8_b.jpg]

Hey thanks Eric! Those little "Stadium People" are great. I believe they would definitely work for this Bird's Eye View. That is some good info on the Q-Tip people, I'll have to remember that. As for now, I'm going to give the "Stadium People" a go.

@honoluludesktop said: I noticed that a number podium renders posted have their colors balanced "non" white (don't know the proper term). Is there a podium reason for this, or is it personal preference? i believe the term is called 'color bleeding'. its a natural phenomenon where the surface reflects part of its color onto surrounding surfaces. in render engines which support SI (global illumination) its mostly present. some clients raise their brows when they see this phenomenon. and i am a victim of it several times myself with many different render engines. there are ways around this though... but at a risk of losing physical accuracy wrt to materials and light. sorry for the off topic rant. nice scene btw!!! more objects on the table and wall hangings and chandeliers and fire in the fire place can make this a real winner!!!!

Great image. That's a style I'd like to try. Sounds like it is not too time consuming. If you can fix something, I'd say the muntins on the left hand door might be modeled more, as they are close to the camera. I have done tapered muntins in doors and I know the line work becomes too dense--if you are using lines. So I've smoothed the outer lines and it works out pretty well. Is that an undercounter clothes washer / dryer? Is there enough room to add a short wing wall by the refrigerator? Anything that hides the side or the view to the back side is nice, I think. Some builders recess the rear of the unit into the wall, which also sets the front better in relation to the counter, in the deeper models. It looks like the door is too close for a wall. What is the element straight ahead? it looks like a range hood but I see the range is on the right.

I don't have any clients yet, Daniel. These are to add to my portfolio to help me find some clients. If you know of any clients aimlessly wandering about, please point them in my direction
