@garystan said: Dave R. : In other words, I should've used softer, more-angled light. Correct ? garystan In other words, you should have used light more consistent with low sunlight. The shadows should be a little softer, that brick wall and windows should be reflecting some light back into the scene. The light should be lower as I said before. It should probably be a bit warmer considering how low the sun is in the background image. It's pretty simple to figure out where the light source in your render. You should be able to draw lines from corners on the shadows through the corners on the furniture casting the shadows and to the sun. The rays from the sun are, for practical purposes, parallel so the edges of the shadows of the furniture should be parallel not splaying out as the distance from the furniture increases. All very basic lighting stuff.

@hellnbak said: Really nice work! Those are colors I might have chosen for my own home. Needs a big ashtray on the coffee table though Yeah, I know - not "PC", but what is nowdays Thanks! That colour palette is so awesome and would appeal to both males and females alike. Win-win! Come on now, an ashtray would never be factored into the styling of an interior (although, worst case scenario, the tea-light holders could be used if one was 'caught out')!!

yeah...which one's which? If you had some light through from those sign lights, I wouldn't be able to tell them apart.

@pbacot said: Adam, Thanks for the demos. I am not sure what the answer would be as to whether I'd like the results in Lightup. I have to try it again. It looks to me like the AO is too pronounced. Peter Peter, the amount of AO is controllable by a Multiplier, so you can tone it down, change the blend colors, change the blending with direct lights. Lots of control to get the look you want. I turned it up to full whack just so you could see the difference of AO cutoff.

Great job. Looks like my Brewmaster ceiling fans from Form Fonts in there.
