The room seems cold and without life. Some things to work on: The chairs are far too low poly The overhead projector lacks detail The table top material is out of scale (too big) and looks odd The whole room has a orange cast to it. Add a lightswitch by the door, plugs on the walls, etc. It is all about details. Scott

How can I see the car? When I click on something I get taken to a page in a foreign language.

Troy, I was surprised about the rough construction of the original pieces of furniture. My guess is they were built sort of as proofs of concept. I'd guess if sheetrock screws had existed at the time, he'd have used them. From what I've read and seen, FLW was a great architect but not such a great engineer. I've heard that in preparation for a visit by House Beautiful or some other magazine to his house at Taliesin, he decided the bedroom wasn't big enough. He and his students tore out a load bearing wall and put on an addition. Evidently it wasn't long before the addition was all but falling off the house. They did a major restoration there a few years ago and fixing that addition was a major project.

Thanks guys, My workflow is I render the sketchup model with Global Illumination and then run it in fotosketcher then overlay the image in Photoshop. It's similar to davidh workflow but I've added some of my style to it to make it more interesting and unique. Actually for every image there is a different set of parameters and blending modes in Photoshop. I would like to thank davidh for this style... Thanks, allanx

This is very very nice. I'm impressed. Simple and clean composition, a few colors only, thats the secret of watercolor feel.

Nice! This one was made for 3D printing in metal [flash=853,505:aix4bh51]http://www.youtube.com/v/L4l-Dsh6Cmg&fs=1[/flash:aix4bh51] It looks way better on Youtube, for some reason, though.

Very nice. Except that sand should be wet near the sea. More dark and reflective.

@jsteacy thanks a lot for your comments, i totally agreed with you, about the call outs yes they are had drawn, the difficulty in this project was that it was only a week project 2nd thing is that we have to co-operate with our juniors 3rd year students, so all 4 group members have to design a panel,so the last one and the upper two are designed by juniors, and in super adobe structure barbed wire is used, and yes the workers must use gloves, and i could have upload the section elevation pics but they are about 35 mb each so thats why couldn't upload them, i ll try to upload them as a PDF. and ya thanks a lot again for your comments i dont mind any harsh comments coz the are for my benefits , Thank you sir

Thank you Pilou. I was experimenting over my morning coffee. I don't know if either of these are successful but here they are. First, I ran the render image through FotoSketcher using a Pencil Sketch option. Then I combined the line style, render and FS output. [image: 5083616720_6b4098694d_b.jpg] And for the second one, I used a watercolor option in FS. [image: 5083021185_7eca1f1ed9_b.jpg] I need to draw some appropriate knobs for the doors, yet.

Ross your comments are "spot on" you have a great eye and design sensibility. Glad to see that you are graciously sharing your experience and expertise with all of us. Robert this looks like a fun venture. I have a few "original" S&R catalogs from I have always loved the simple but welcoming renderings of their home kits.

Fantastic for pure sketchup output - limited colour palette works really well. Love the design too - bit retro but sleek modern at the same time.
