@Mike-Amos said in Hot Rod: Are we going to see anything new from you sometime? Been thinking about posting some of the many historic one-off vehicles I have done. Did the only two remaining active sea tractors, both with very interesting histories. Here's a couple shots of the South Sands Sea Tractor [image: 1767228958262-2019-04-01_185212.png] [image: 1767229094789-2022-08-18_061411-b-recovered.png]

Nice job using Sketchup...I also have a disagreement with the architectural design. Why would a country with such wealth of local building types decide to use house designs that are from middle-class America? The house designs have nothing to do with the history or local environment of Vietnam.

Looks great, Scott. I noticed the line between the two doors disappeared, as usually happens in rendering programs when it's just a 3D line. If I am going to render the model, I always make an imperceptable gap or groove, or prop one door open. Your lights look great.

i second the above. besides, i think the sky in the first picture is less distractive than the one on the second.

Had me thinking of Myst also, and how visually far ahead of its time it was.

Cute but wouldn't the cuteness be pumped to higher heights with a pig nose and a springie tail? An idea for having further fun with the model would be to turn it into a 'Chia-pet'. [flash=425,344:12te3ts9]http://www.youtube.com/v/tzY7qQFij_M&hl=en&fs=1[/flash:12te3ts9]

Hi Solo, Thanks for your comment. Your model is very good. I think that I need some tool plugin to make better model. But I do not know which one. Bye

there is actually a number of free ruby scripts that allow you to eather mark camera location or even tell you the distance to a particular object, this takes out all guess work of setting the distance in vray CameraDistance.rb - Returns the distance to an object in the direct line of sight. cameraLines.rb - Connects all cameras of all pages with lines. (needs more then one page) There is also old Film & Stage plugin that kind a works in sketchup 7, allows you to mark camera location, and do all the measurement.

Thanks for the comments, guys. Mirjman, you are right about the renderings being flat. I definitely want my next rendering to have more depth. And I see what you are saying about the mechanical look of some of the elements versus the sketchy line work. I'll have to think about that. I appreciate the tip, Honolulu. I actually read a tutorial that suggested just what you mentioned. So I did incorporate some of those ideas on these renderings, but I plan to make better use of that strategy next time. You make a good point about the bleeding style not matching the paintbrush style. I'll have to try something a little different next time. Thanks again.

I think a couple of your light bulbs blew since your last render. Its now too dark for my liking and although I can see some reflection, it's too dark.
