"frit" position(x,y,z)are result by calculation depend of glass size, frit size and shadow coeficient.(to place "frit" in "start" position and after to make copy), mean i can't use X or Z as you sugest,(in tile floor,x,y,z are same for floor and tile) or i am confysed?
Sorry bother you.
While I do not know what may have caused your issue either, a restore-install may help - or if not, a complete uninstall-reinstall. Ideally your licensing info should remain but you can always re-license your copy with the code sent to you by email (and yes, you can always re-use that license as long as it is still valid - for student licenses, generally for one academic year or what).
Thanks Alan. I have pretty good Photoshop skills and for a while was active on an indie game forum where I started a "Texture a Day" thread. I like creating textures but my 3D skills are lacking. It seems more jobs require 3D modeling and texture design using 3D and not a lot of call for Photoshop alone.
I really want to get competent with modeling asap as I would like to do some side jobs. I may take some classes if I can swing it. This thread at conceptart.org is what made me look at SketchUp http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=173014 and I have since found an increasing number of concept artists using it for game, animation and even comic books which are areas that appeal to me.
That is VERY strange! Sounds like there are errors or something has corrupted.
I have imported DWG files from other programs and have seen corrupted object or models.
I would try downloading Sketchup 8 again and re-installing it.
Also, maybe update Windows too.
I have never seen that problem before. As if the snaps were not working correctly. When it pops up with "Endpoint" it always means the very end of the line.
Check your snap options too under Window/Model Info/Units
Maybe the "Enable Length Snapping" is set at a strange unit...
I mostly work in feet so I use .01'
Let us know what you figure out

Are you in parallel projection camera view by any chance? You can also fix the FOV factor by using the Zoom tool (Z) and holding down the shift key. Move the tool with the left mouse button pressed up and down the screen to see if it comes back.
yea men iam useing zoom tool with shift and its ok now reall thx men
One important thing no matter you hide things or put them on (hidden) layers; NEVER EVER hide or put geometry that is not grouped (or in a component) on to other than Layer 0. If ou want to hide something (or put onto another layer), simply select it > right click and make group. Then hide the group or put it onto any layer you wish.
You can always unhide your things from under the Edit menu > Unhide command or even view hidden geometry from the View menu.
Before SU was working? I had also allways some crashes some time ago i could not explain... "Repair" SU was not successful but "deinstall" completely and new installation and all was fine...
thank you very much for the resolution!!!!
I saw the other day a video from someone's presentation and it had the clock attached. It looked very nice..
hope someone knows how to..
thanks anyway!!
Rather than move them back one by one you can half, and half again until you find it. E.G. Make two temporary folders Disabled and Safe. Put half of your scripts in Disabled, leave half in Plugins - if the error still happens you know which half in safe - move the contents of Disabled into Safe. Now repeat moving half of what's in Plugins into Disabled - this time lets assume the error has gone, therefore move the contents of Plugins into Safe and half of the contents of Disabled into Plugins.... repeat swapping things like that until you have the culprit file[s] and tell us what they are !! Doing if by halves is much quicker; 512 >> 256 >> 128 >> 64 >> 32 >> 16 >> 8 >> 4 >> 2 >> 1; i.e. 9 steps for 512 files, BUT doing them one by one... on average you'd need to swap ~256 files to find the problem one - at worst 512 and at best 1. BUT I think 9 steps v. ~256 is the better bet
