I've been using blender as a catch all for 3d file formats.. a complicated mesh can get cleaned up in blender or simplified and export as a .dae into SU. I do this with OBJ's all the time

BlenderGIS can get you pretty good images.. you do need an API key to get set up but it's all free and you can even generate 3d geometry based on the elevations in the satellite images.. it tiles in blender so you the more you zoom the better the image quality to a point.

Hey Jessica, I've had luck with both the cad formats dwg and dxf... IFC is probably the best option for SU to Revit though.. you have to create a project and import it in my experience and Revit handles it more like a family than a revit model.

There is always room for more tools. The video doesn't really show much other than some procedural generation results with some topo lines. I think from an artistic point of view a procedural surface generator has value. Especially if it has World Machine type features. Not sure how nice SketchUp would play with your tool. To get high resolution detail in a terrain mesh may bottleneck SketchUp. Can your tool run Runoff/Flow Paths on existing real world terrain imports? If it does and it can preserve material UVs on meshes you would have a very useful tool. So someone in the Landscape Evolution space could run some type of preliminary simulation to show wind/rain/water erosion over time. Regardless, it costs you nothing to put your body of work out into ecosystem and see how it goes. Feedback is the best judge and it looks like you already have viable tool.

Thank you for your response. The issue is resolved. The problem was not the license itself. SketchUcationTools was either missing or not working correctly, so ClothWorks could not detect it and did not open the license window. I reinstalled SketchUcationTools and now everything works fine.
