You can purchase a SketchUp exporter that takes your file and saves it to a Vue file. THen Vue opens it and you can use it in Vue. You can add trees and plants in Vue, or whatever you want to do in Vue. Then render. If you don't want to pay for the plugin, you can also export from SU as a .obj file, then open that in Vue and it comes in fairly well much of the time. Chris

The first thing I notice here is that there's a few backfaces visible. What you see in SU isn't always what V-Ray renders. V-Ray doesn't take into account the custom default colours, so any material with default material will end up white-yellow-ish on the front, and blue on the back. For transparent material you want to place the materials on both sides. It'd help to judge the image is it was slightly larger and with not so much JPEG compression.

@solo said: Thanks Thomthom, a new trick, however it makes all shadow areas very blotchy. Screenshot? That property is quite important to be set to 0.85. Damien had some techinal reason for why this spesific value and why it should never be 1. Don't have the link right now though. In SR1.5 it should be set to that by default.

Then it sounds like you have the original V-Ray for Sketchup. There's an update available over at ASGVis for download.

@mitcorb said: You need to reply to his two questions at the end of his post. These ones you mean? @zeeshan said: how did you guys become so amazing at all this ? did you have some special training ? First, I don't think I am "amazing at all this" therefore I didn't reply on that. The other thing is; practise, practise, practise - and lurk all around the forums to find out how all the others are achieving results you like. I myself have never taken any training so I cannot speak for others.
