I cannot let this go.
Bryan have you considered joining a support group, maybe โsketchuppers anonymousโ ? Your persistence is to be applauded.

RE: Mercedes Mansion
Got to give you credit Bryan you sure are persistent I think Iโd have put this model on the shelf by now. Only going to make a couple of comments on these last two images. Keeping in mind a lot of this is just personal preference stuff. Overall these last l ages are a bit bright to me. Seems to wash things out a bit. Second is whatโs happening with the palm fronds and big plants out front ? The color seems washed outโฆ. Curious if you do any post processing ?

To my tired old eyes, looking bleep good. I agree with your point re noise versus grain/detail 100%.
Thanks Mike. My obsessive nature had me re-rendering this thing. Fixed some issues with textures and such. Ran more passes. Tried some different things in post processing. You can lose your mind when you start to dive deeper into Affinity Photo. Better result ? Darned if I know.

RE: Jaguar XKSS Steve McQueen.
Excellent work Mike. One thing thoughโฆ the floor seems to have a strong green tint to it ? Might be my old eyes playing tricks.

RE: Hunslet Cloister Quarry Engine
Excellent modeling but the name sure is a mouthful

RE: Interior Practice
Thanks Bryan.
Thanks L i am. Good catch on the lamp. Went back and checked the model. Somehow I lost my Twilight material setup for the tangerine color. My old tired eyes flat missed it. Without getting to scientific โnoiseโ is artifacts in the image. With rendering it usually is from not running enough passes with the rendering software. Sort of a balancing act between number of passes and how long you want to spend. The more passes the longer itโs going to take. You can usually clean up noise in post processing but you need to be careful because you can wipe out your bump effects on your textures if youโre to heavy handed.

RE: Mercedes Mansion
Good job Bryan. Curious about the D5 Render. Did you use a depth of field effect with it?

[quote="Rich O Brien"]Very nice. Have you tried using the Denoise Live Filer in Affinity?
Worth exploring. and it's also non-destructive.]
Rich, thanks for the positive feedback. Yes Iโve messed about with Affinityโs Denoise filter, but not on this image. My old eyes are bad enough I struggle with denoising images. Have a hard time not wiping out the textures in the image.
ntxdave, your positive comments are always appreciated.

Interior Practice
Just wanted to do a test render of some new models. Rendered with Twilight and post pro Affinity Photo. Raw SU view and the final render.
