Have had this model in the back of my mind for some time. I think things may get out of hand before I’m done. The good old days when guys built hot rods in their garage at home. 😎

@ntxdave “Tools on Surface” allows you to draw on curved surfaces. Turned on hidden geometry which helps to keep things aligned. You just have to play and experiment to get used to how it works. The upper twists are 24 copies of one component.

More fun time stuff. Only three components. Drew the path for the upper twists directly on the globe. Fredo’s Tools on Surface makes short work of it. The most time was spent on the render side. Played in Twilight’s Deep Material Editor to get the effect on the globe. 😎

That's a seriously large wardrobe! It could be a shop!

      Nice render too

      My thoughts exactly 👍

@Mike-Amos Hope you get things sorted out. I’ve had the same weird scaling issues with probably half my hdr’s and spherical jpeg’s.

@ntxdave Practice and experiment. That’s how you get there. To answer questions you asked over in my thread. You can manipulate geometry with various tools like FredoScale and VertexTools. Box has numerous posts in his tutorial thread showing how to use the various tools in FredoScale. Also posting an image,of one of my models. Exploded the parts and gave a brief description of what I did.twist globe exploded.jpg

@ntxdave I use SU Pro15 and 18. The finished image was rendered in Twilight. The glass has a “Flint Glass” template applied in Twilight. To my understanding even with the added PBR materials in SU25 if you want true realism your going to have to use a render software.

Dug up an old file. I’d been practicing twisting stuff. Copied out one of the rings and here’s the result. Playing around with this stuff is fun. 😎 Including a pic of the proxy.
