RE: Rayscaper in SU 2025
Are they the new SU PBR materials ? If so I saw a post somewhere that Rayscaper can’t read those new materials correctly yet.

Beach Revisited
Pulled out an old model from 2018. Tweaked on a few things. Ran a render. Cheers

RE: Box Exercise Discussions
@ntxdave That’s a good effort. Not sure what you mean by smaller gif. At times I do zoom in so you can better see what I’m selecting or clicking on. Posting a pic. Everything the same as the last gif except I rotated the twisted upright before I did all the copy/array work. Totally different look.

RE: I’ve Been “Boxed”
Another odd little thing. Pulled some parts from an early practice model and ended up with this…

RE: Box Exercise Discussions
@ntxdave oh… I can make your head spin if you want. Used Frodo’s Bezier Spline plugin to create the path for this one.
You have to walk before you can run. Put on your creative hat and come up with different shapes to make interesting things.

RE: Box Exercise Discussions
@ntxdave Here’s another gif. Important things…. you can see I set the circle profile axis to its center. Also have placed a guide on center of the circle. After running follow me rotate the profile the desired amount around it’s axis center. After the copy/array select all the uprights and copy them. Then use the flip tool. Paste in place and rotate the desired amount around.

RE: Box Exercise Discussions
@ntxdave There’s different ways you can get things to cross and spiral around. I’ll try to make up another gif over the next few days. And will raise the difficulty level a bit.

RE: Box Exercise Discussions
@ntxdave Your correct that I use the circle at bottom for the path. Watch the gif. As soon as I finish with the array my cursor drops down to select the circle. Post up an image of how your version turned out. It doesn’t hurt to run trough it it number of times to make sure your comfortable with everything.

RE: Box Exercise Discussions
@ntxdave If you watch the gif after I copy/array the uprights I go to the top of one and select the profile for the top ring. It’s partially hidden in the upright. I placed everything in position before recording to keep the file size manageable. What I’d like to see you do is try to duplicate what I’m showing in the gif. Remember keeping it simple at first. When you can successfully do this simple version without problems then you can step up to more complex variations.

RE: Box Exercise Discussions
Not sure these will help. But giving it a shot. Starting out you need to keep it simple. I’m no way in Box’s league so take it for what it’s worth. Posting a gif. I already have the base shapes modeled to keep the gif as short as possible. Also left the guidelines for you to see. Start simple and let us see some images of what you’re doing so we can help when needed.

RE: House Practice
@Rich-O-Brien Thanks Rich. I’ll keep using Twilight as long as it keeps working on my machine.
Have a bump map on the fascia but I suppose I turned it down a bit to low. My eyeballs aren’t what they used to be.

House Practice
Something different. Modeled the house from a vintage floor plan. Scattered grass, rendered with Twilight. Minor post in Affinity Photo.

RE: I’ve Been “Boxed”
Another odd object. Experimented with a bunch of different effects for the material on the globe when rendering.

RE: Box Exercise Discussions
@ntxdave I’m not Box but I’ll put on my thinking cap and see if I can come up with some helpful things for you. It would help to know what plugins you have. Wouldn’t want to show you things that rely on plugins you don’t have. Idea is to start off simple and build from there.
