I'm modeling in sketchup, and as you all know its a native problem of sketchup to unnecessarily section faces and models. It occurs rarely but the model i'm making, it's really interrupting the modelling process. I updated my graphic card driver but the problem remained. I uninstalled my graphics driver but the problem is still there. What should I do?

There are some top plan view png images in this LO scrapbook file:
http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=29122If you rename the *.layout extension to *.zip, you can extract the individual image files from there. They are quite hi-res images.
wow!! that's a nice hack !!

AutoCAD layout option
I have 5 plans in a single autocad file. I recently saw a layout option that fixes the view
and the areas that you want to print.
I want to do like this.
1 layout I want to create is of an A1 size sheet on which these 4 floor plans are placed in a square fashion, i.e. each plan on one vertice of a square. I want to set the printer output option as a postscript level 2 file
in another layout I want to put the site plan on an A1 sheet. Here I also want a postcript level 2 file.
However in my original drawing, these plans are placed next to each other in a linear fashion.
Is this possible?

Photo of a tree in plan view for photoshop
Hi everyone,
I'm currently rendering a site plan in which i have to show trees, hedges and bushes. I searched a lot for tree brushes but all i got brushes in elevational view. I googled for images for trees in plan view but they were of really low resolution, not good enough to make a brushDoes anyone knows of a source of a tree brush in plan view? I don't want an outline kinda tree. An image of tree/bush/hedge from the top will serve my purpose in the best way.

I would use the current version that is for sale from their website.
!!!! chris, does that give a refresh file option and save your project option too? I tried the free one that is nero burnlite version 10 (tried separately via filehippo.com) that has been renamed as nero kwikmedia (i tried it separately) [that's an aweful rehash of windows media player ]

Since this is an AutoCad related question, you should ask on their support forum.
I did ask this question there but no one replied.

Windows 7 - 64 bit, readyboost and rendering
Currently I have 4 GB ddr3 ram and windows 7 32 bit. There's a feature that's known as readyboost in windows 7 that allows you to use pen drives as RAM. I have 2 pen drives [usb disks as they say] of 2GB capacity each.
So my question is, if i use both these pendrives as RAM via Readyboost, and installwindows 7 64 bit , will that readyboost make the total RAM nearly equal to 8 gb? nearly equal, so lets say at least 7 gb? I've heard a lot of good news about SU podium 64 bit being really fast, so that's why

A good version of Nero for windows 7?
I was using nero 6 when I had windows xp. Recently I installed windows 7. Now nero 6 ain't working on this operating system.
I tried nero kwik burn but unfortunately it doesn't have the refresh CD option that nero 6 used to have [the old files used to get replaced automatically with the updated one]. Which version of Nero should I use. ? I also tried nero 10 but in vain.

There are only ever 11 buttons - there are only 11 extrudeEdgesBy...rb files!!!
I suspect that you have put one of the files into two auto-loading locations or have two copies with slightly different names in Plugins - so something is loading twice but the 1st time its icon files are not found - SO... what is the first button ? See its Tooltip etc or look in the Plugins>ExtrusionTools... for a submenu duplicate. Then you can track down the culprit - perhaps something like 2x extrudeEdgesByEdges.rb ??
Whoa what a shot TIG!, bingo, its' the one extrude edgesbyedges, WTH it's duplicated !!!. I'll try to solve. i'm getting a duplicate in plugins menu man!!

RE: [Plugin] ExtrudeTools - Full Set
I'm unable to have the first button, don't know why.
This has been a problem since a long time. I have got now windows 7 ultimate but the problem is still there. I did a fresh download of this set, overwrote the old extrude tools files but the problem is still there.

Autocad floating toolbars, and lines flickering
I have recently installed windows 7 ultimate 32 bit, updated all my drivers. In autocad 2009, often when i move the crosshair, it flickers which was not the case when I had windows xp.
A similar problem in sketchup was faced by my friend in windows 7 -64 bit edition. What used to happen was that in skechup when you drag a box to make selection, that box used to flick slowly and that was really irritating, the flicker was like this
on....off......on.......off, lol, difficult to explain in words but the time lapse between the flickers used to be like .8 seconds or something.

Hi,
I already had this problem with MS Office and Photoshop. Try downloading the missing msvcp80.dll from a legitimate website (Microsoft) from the Internet and copy them into the Photoshop directory. This had worked for me.
Charly
thanks a lot charlie. But the problem is still there. I found the dll files as advised by you by doing the search thing in my nimbuzz[a chatting app] program files folder and snagit[screenshot utility] folder
Actually i had this problem with google sketchup too when I was having XP but not the dll thingy. sketchup used 2 crash the moment i used to start it in windows xp sp3. i used 2 get a bug splat. but this happened two or 3 times only. and this used to happen more if i had an autocad/coreldraw/media player classic window open. many times media player classic also did the same teasing thing. i.e. the screen came 4 a fraction of second then disappear. But this has been resolved now, inspite of the facts that no virus found. "I'm not having any invisible-kick-software-startup a##" virus am I?

[please help .. :-( ] Photoshop cs3 driving me nuts
I have core i3 processor, 3.1 GHz, 4gb DDR RAM. I have 80 GB SATA hard drive. it has four partitions of 19 gb approx each. Yesterday I formatted my C; drive using windows 7 ultimate installations setup. I had earlier installed windows xp sp3 proffesional as the only operating system on my machine. I was having problems with photoshop cs3.
Whenever I tried to save a file in photoshop, the save as window used to come for a fraction of a second then it used to disapper. I uninstalled photoshop, reinstalled it twice but no success.
So I installed windows 7 ultimate now [32 bit]. My desktop looks hot! Now photoshop has gone even more evil. The welcome screen comes for a fraction of a second and disappears. Photoshop doesn't run. I checked the windows task manager too [ the proccesses tab that is.]
I thoroughly scanned my system for viruses, using ESET Smart Security 4 but still no virus found. I update my internet security software daily 2 or 3 times.
What seems to be wrong with my pc? I guess it's the hard drive space that's responsible for all this mess. I have
%(#0000BF)[4gb free in my partition
1.5 gb free in my d: partition [after installing photoshop in this drive]1.2 gb free in my e : partition
1.3 gb free in my f: partition]

The Help files are amazingly informative. I think you should utilize them.
well dave my question is that whatever things are invisible in the section, layout automatically makes them dotted. I couldn't find answer in help page.

Dotted view of the objects above in sectional view
Is there an option in layout like this
for example a box is resting on a cylinder.
I cut a section through the cylinder, so the box is shown in hidden line denoted by dotted lines in plan.
This is a screenshot from autocad btw
