Well, Winamp free and I do not use Win Media player for this but just tried and dragged/dropped my mu3 link into its interface and it started to play.

well, the people at SCF must have seen some great thing in you. ๐Ÿ˜„ There's only one admin I guess. You're the chosen one Neo ๐Ÿ˜†

and yeah. can you please attach the m3u files here of the radio stations that you listen to ?? Thanks ๐Ÿ˜„

We don't do anything about this because it isn't something that can be done. SketchUp's inference system is designed to be on all the timeโ€“ never turned off. SketchUp without geometric inference wouldn't really be usable.

Wow!..Mr. Bacus is here. ๐Ÿ˜„ Thanks a lot sir that you considered this post. Well I guess, some people are used to AutoCAD customized snap options. I use a lot of AutoCAD and find it difficult many times to work with all types of snaps enabled. Is it possible that this feature be added in SketchUp.?? I'd be really grateful. ๐Ÿ˜„

      Well, no-one said I was "tech-savvy" ๐Ÿ˜„

And yes, there are extensions/plugins for Chrome, too, but I have gotten used to some in FF too much to abandon it right now.

I have Chrome, too, however. And IE, Opera, Safari... You need all to test websites (and cross-browser compatibility)

๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜† your answers show that you're tech savvy. Sometimes there's no need to say things which are obvious. ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ‘ Besides, you're the admin of this forum. Admins are always tech-savvy I guess ๐Ÿ˜„

P.S. please answer all the questions that I asked. ๐ŸŽ‰

I like Sky.fm and DI.fm. Here are the URLs of some of their free streams. You can tune in using Winamp or VLC. Just go to "Open URL" or "Open stream" and paste everything after http.

Well, I guess Windows Media Player is good, too, but I do not like it too much so I use Winamp. It can easily be minimized in the background as well as its icon in the tray and since I use Firefox for Internet browsing, there is a plugin called FoxyTunes so I can control Winamp from the FF status bar easily (it can control other media players, too, of course). Now as I am looking at it, it seems to work with IE, too (and Yahoo Messenger but of course I do not use that):
      http://www.foxytunes.com/

You're using Firfox for browsing? I thought tech - savvy people almost stopped using firefox when Chrome was released. I guess it's much lighter and faster. Extensions are available for this browser in abundance. But I'm disappointed to hear that FoxyTunes is not available for Chrome.

Btw, you're using Winampe Free or a Pro Version. And how can I listen to radio in Windows Media Player. ? I thought that you can only listen to music or watch videos that are in a portable media device or your hard drive.

Thanks everyone at SCF for answering my query. I didn't expect such a quick reply here on a forum for a SketchUp. I asked the same question on Internet Radio Forum before posting here . Guess what ??, I'm still awaiting reply. ๐Ÿ˜„

The snapping can not be changed via Ruby API. ๐Ÿ˜ž

how can it be ๐Ÿ˜ฒ ๐Ÿ˜ฎ . Ruby hotshots are able to make such plugins like

      Subdivide and smooth
      Extrude tools
      Soap skin bubble
      Curviloft

and many more that I don't know ๐ŸŽ‰

that i guess are based on edge and point detection only. There must be a way out of this. The secret lies deep within the caves of Ruby ๐Ÿ˜†

There are some really interesting and customised web radio services like http://musicovery.com/ but what I would really like to know is whether or not it is legal to record streaming Internet radio.
Would it be illegal to record copyrighted materials for personal use? I assume that distributing copyrighted materials, on the other hand, does constitute copyright infringement and is illegal.

thank you numbthumb ๐Ÿ˜„ . There's one station I know called Planet Rock. It's really awesome Well I guess recording is purely legal. We've been doing this recording stuff for years. I used to record songs off radio channels on good old cassettes [the one with the magnetic tapes wrapped around those round round wheels ๐Ÿ˜† ]. Many of my friends used to do so when the CD and the mp3 wasn't invented. So it's purely legal to record songs from radio and store them anywhere. The radio channels also know this thing I suppose, so do the music companies. They can't be so dumb ๐Ÿ˜†

You cannot turn off or modify snapping in any way in SketchUp except for length and angle snapping under Window > Model info > Units

Any plugin out there ? or a possibility of a plugin ? Ruby Gurus , anyone?!!

    • Customizing Snap Options

Is there a way to customize the snap options in SketchUp. There are lot of options in AutoCAD to customize the snap points like
      Midpoint,
      Nearest,
      End,
      Intersection.

You can also turn off or on the snap. Sometimes in sketchup while working I want to turn off the midpoint snapping off but fail to do so. Is there a way out of this snap issue?
