Sounds like pilot error. After clicking on the toolbar icon, click on one of the scale handles and they'll change as set by the plugin. πŸ˜’

i select a box [which is a group], press "s", then click the 1st button of toolbar. nothing happens

if i select the box, then click the button, it doesn't get pressed at all πŸ˜•

Do you have a group or component, in your drawing, for the plugin to modify? You can give it a try under the plugins menu, but no one else has reported a problem with the toolbar?

I did this for group, i even tried from the plugin drop down menu, i select the simple option but the default handles remain πŸ˜•

      Hi, rock1:
Look in Plugins Index, red button at top of this page, navigate to author "-BTM", look for link to Sculpt tool. This might help.

Can this plugin be tweaked so that in the components lists, the thumbnails of the components be
shown, just like we see in the component window of the sketchup? 😎

    • Can there be vertical smoove circle?

is there a way to change the sandbox smoove circle to verticle smooving. it always remain horizontal. e.g. if there is surface that's vertical, i have to rotate it thereby makin it horizontal, smoove it and then rotate again . 😞

is it necessary to have as much free space on hard disk while burning the data of having the size equal or more than the hard disk space with nero? nero is giving a non critical error. πŸ˜›

for. e.g. i don't have 8.5 gb free space in any of my partition. i have 4.5 gb free space in my πŸ˜„ drive nero caches files before burning. i'm trying to burn a dual layer dvd.

Well Dave he never asked for it, only about it, so I fealt no compulsion the give it.

Rock, the plugin in question is attached. You can access it through the Plugins menu. There are 3 options, Normal, Spiral, and U-Shape.

Normal is just a straight run with a railing on one side. The steps are a group and the rail is a group.

Spiral is a circular or elliptical stair depending on the Max,Min width input. It is a single group.

U-Shape now accepts "turn steps" which replace the landing if defined. This is a single group also.

πŸ˜„ that's so kind of you , thanks a lot people like sdmitch are men of honour. Look fellas, these are men of honour, these are men of honour!! πŸ‘

    • Auto tracing of Google Earth photo

In SketchUp, I want to show the context around a building in the form of boxes. So there are lots of other buildings that i'd need to trace on an image of google earth using autocad. That would consume a lot of time. Is there a quick way to autotrace such buildings?

rock, with a plugin of my own. I did cheat a little on the u-shaped 12,3,12 set. I created a run of 12 then copied, rotated and moved it into position. The run of 3 was then rotated and moved into place. The elliptical stairs required nothing additional to be done. The plugin has a u-shape option but it assumes stair runs stop and start at a landing.

      well which plugin r u using? πŸ˜›

don't mind but can you upload here? πŸ˜’

      Hi folks.

If after searching the help, you are still unable to find it, use Menu Window --> Preferences --> Extensions. Use the check boxes to enable the utilities. While at it, why not enable all of them. After that, close SU and restart to make sure that all extensions will load completely. You do this only once, normally.

With the extensions enabled, the contextual menu for an object, will show, as the last choice, "Point at center" for circles, polygons and arcs.

      Just ideas.

      Cool!! 😍 thanksman πŸ‘
