Hi,
Thanks for the info, it worked alright but now that i know laptop is not much use for modelling larger models i'm gaining leverage for the boss (herself) to get me a new one!!
Anyone got suggestions on which laptop is good for modelling on? That's within β¬700 or so
Hi Guys,
Here's my Laptops Specs
Dell Latitude D400
Intel Pentium M 1700MHZ Processor
1GB Ram
Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller
40GB HDD
Recently while modeling the house below i experience display issues

I've each part Grouped and on its own layer but when i attempt to add interior walls to existing interior walls artifacts appear and faces vanish? Also no indication appears on any face when is use select tool or push/pull etc. And at time SU will push/pull the adjacent face?
Here's an example of the issue

And here's my system preferences

Recently i've installed some plugins but i don't know if that is the issue? All my drivers are up to date as i've DriverMax 5 installed and it keeps it up to date on a daily basis.
Any ideas or advice?
Do you mean you have to search for good and free textures?
Or you have good textures to offer for free?
Sorry thomthom i must have been typing while you were
Hi,
Did you purge your model to remove unused components, textures etc.?

Great Link and super use of native tools.
I agree with Solo (about plugins not drugs!!)
Oooops! Sorry for the hassle and thanks for the help
Hi Guys and Gals,
I've recently installed both 'Weld and 'Stitcher' ruby into 'Plugin' Folder and tried to weld/stitch the folllowing

But the 2 curves don't join?
What am i doing wrong?
Did you check out Solo's Garden Pack? He might be able to help you out? But other than that I'm clueless!
This is the first post I've noticed that's getting nasty!
From this point on I wish to point out that being Irish requires me to remain neutral to any warmongering whether real or imaginary.

Hi Guys,
Here's a project i'm considering to build onto my garage. Have I gone overboard with the lumber sizes?

It's a WIP at the moment so any feedback is appreciated greatly
Thanks in advance
did you check out the post on textures?
http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=486
It has great links to free and purchasable textures
Hi Coen,
Great work. Do you know if the design is used on the final game? I followed this game closely from its first showing as i was impressed at what they were trying to achieve so early in the PS3's life. I purchased the game on release and was very impressed, except for it's lenght.
I'd love to see if your design was implemented in the final game and how was it used?
Thanks for the replies and from your responses it seems the app is as useful as a waterproof teabag
Hi Steve,
Great site you got. Looking forward to some nifty uploads and advice

The reason i ask about a tutorial is because it'd be interesting to see what setting you used etc. As I'm some who is struggling to get to grips with VR, and there's very little out there that caters for beginners, i find that a detailed step by step approach to show how someone progresses through a project would benefit the noobs greatly. I've done the PDF manual that is on the VR website but find that it is limited in its approach and spends a lot explaining the simple things rather than how to apply settings to get desired effect!
But that said i have been called a dumb ass in the past and maybe rendering isn't for me????????
