Thanks for a great Tutorial.
I've little to no experience with Ruby but found this very informative and eye opening. Amazing how easy it is to understand yet hard to grasp?
Now I appreciate even more the effort and talent that goes into creating the excellent scripts you guys produce
Thanks
Hi Christine,
Here's a link to the Newbie Forum where you can say 'Hi' to everyone

This started last nite for some reason?
If you get a chance go to see the Euromast. It has great views on a clear day and you really get an understanding of the size of the Europort.
looks like the pro version is keeping all the fancy trickery for itself.
did you check out the links in the texture thread?
Violent but fun
Hi Gruff,
Welcome to SCF. You come to the right place to learn more.
Hi Miguel,
I've been using 'rclub24' since 2001. It was a piss take of a pop group called S-Club7, who were particularly bad [IMO].
Now any site i join i use the same tag and it's also my PS3 id. So any gamers out there feel free to add as friend.
Or if it's a 'He' we're even luckier it's not a Kilt
Michael Jackson's 'Scream' video?
I know it's not a movie but that's what it reminded of.
Have a look at this thread , it might help
Windows 7 Day 3
Now I've pretty much all the software I need and use installed I can really make an honest assessment. So far there has only been one issue that I've noticed. The lightscribe function on the DVD drive is not recognized. But I only used this once so I'm not concerned
With everything installed and the system tray a little more active there has been a dip in speed compared with just Windows installed.
It still manages moving or copying large files alot better than any other version. The battery is definitely operating longer than with Vista.
Truth be told I'm a little unimpressed after all the hype. Sure it wipes the floor with Vista in terms of hogging resources. But it's still Vista with an XP mode tagged on.
I'm gonna trial it for a month and if after that it still doesn't seem impressive I'm migrating back to XP 64bit SP3.
compared with XP it uses alot of RAM, but XP could in theory operate on just 64mb of RAM. It's use of memory and processing compared with Vista is a big change.
I like to use Virtual Desktops, and found under Vista this led to lots of slowdowns. But now there's a definite improvement.
I currently have iTunes streaming music on one desktop, SU7 on another, transferring 80GB of music with Teracopy on another and Vuze running on the last. There's a slight change in speed but still working away in SU7 and happy as a pig in sh*t

A rural town in New Zealand has been forced to cancel its annual rabbit-throwing competition after complaints from animal rights groups.
The Telegraph (www.telegraph.co.uk)

comparable with XP SP3 in terms of startup/shutdown times - Vista was sluggish
beats XP and Vista in transferring large file
beats XP and Vista in opening larger docs like pdfs, xls etc
Vista UAC is more customisable and not as irritating
So far the battery life is alot better with 7 but its early days
Does this help?
Hi Solo,
Just finished installing on HP Pavillion DV7 that previously ran Vista 64bit. There's a definite speed improvement and there was no issues with the install. The migration seems to have flawless so far, but as the laptop is only 1 month old, i hadn't many files or programs installed that would have caused me to be concerned.
My very early opinion on the look and feel compared with Vista is positive so far. Now to overload with needless rubbish!
But if it fails to live up to expectations i'll revert back to XP 64bit
